When I was growing up I was lucky enough to receive regular snail mail from my Grandpa. A little while back I was heartbroken as I thought they had been misplaced after moving house a few times... I can still recall the relief I felt when I eventually found the plastic bag they were stuffed in. One of my current projects is to scan these treasures as many are faded and the paper is tearing. Recently scanned is this gem of my Nanna and me from 30 years ago 🥰

There are so many reasons why you should be backing up your irreplaceable photo collection. Deterioration over time, the possibility of fire or flood damage. Maybe another family member has albums that belonged to parents or grandparents, and you would like a copy?
