I swear New Zealand has the best "pull over" views in the world 😍🇳🇿

The number of incredible views you can see with almost no effort in New Zealand is unreal.

This was taken on the drive between Queenstown and Glenorchy, and I couldn't get over the colours.

The lakes really are that blue, the mountains are that dramatic, and somehow every corner of the road looks like a postcard 🏔️💙

If you're visiting Queenstown, Glenorchy makes the perfect day trip and the drive alone is worth it.

I really thought it was going to be overrated…but I was proven WRONG! everything you need to know 👇

📍TeamLab Planets, Tokyo

This was one of my favourite experiences in Tokyo. The immersive rooms, reflections, water features and light displays genuinely felt like stepping into another world.

✨ My favourite rooms:
• The Infinity Room
• The giant floating balloon room

A few things to know before you go 👇

⏰ The lines are LONG. I arrived nearly 2 hours before closing and still had to wait, so factor that into your plans.

🧳 Solo traveller friendly. Everyone is pretty focused on the experience, so it doesn't feel awkward visiting alone.

📸 No tripods allowed. If you have a gimbal, bring it! I saw someone using one and immediately regretted leaving mine at the hotel 😅

🎟️ Book your tickets online in advance.

💦 Wear something you don't mind getting a little wet — you'll be walking through water in part of the exhibit.

One of those rare places that actually lives up to the photos 💙

Solo travel definitely humbles you quickly! 🤣👇

I started my solo travel journey back in 2021 after the lockdowns! I wanted to start travelling more but didn't have a whole lot of people to do that with. I was living in another country. A lot of my friends left the city during Covid so there weren't too many options available.

However, when I discovered solo travel creators online, thanks to the YouTube algorithm, it gave me the courage to try it for myself and since then I have never looked back. I love going on solo trips now, the freedom involved is amazing 😍

Yes there are definitely some downsides and I'm not gonna say no if a friend of family member is available but it's so great knowing that I don't need to wait around for other people to do the things that I want to do.

So I hope I can be the same source of inspo for you as others were for me!

When are you going on your solo trip?

Not a single one of these is cute, but all of them are necessary 👇😂🌍

1. I plan at least one activity per morning and afternoon; decision fatigue is REAL
2. I'm in by after sunset most nights. I’d rather be up early to beat the crowds 🌅
3. I vlog my days so there's still someone to share it with later 🎥
4. I walk everywhere (where possible); best way to actually see a place plus saves money on transport
5. I eat early to avoid peak dinner hours as it’s easier to get a table for one 🍽️
6. I bring a tripod everywhere…As a photographer, good photos are non negotiable 📸
7. A Netflix night (or day if it’s bad weather 😂) counts as part of the trip and gives time to rest and recharge, especially on longer trips
8. I don't shop. Keeping the bag light is non negotiable
9. Maps and transport screenshots saved offline, always
10. I check in with someone at home at the end of every day 🤍

Which one do you relate to most? 👇

👇These were actually some of my favourite experiences in Japan ✨🇯🇵

These are 4 popular things to do in Kyoto that I genuinely think are still worth it 👇

🌅 Kiyomizu-dera Temple at sunset
Yes, it gets PACKED… but the golden light over Kyoto is honestly magical and completely worth braving the crowds for.

🏮 Historic Gion District
Super busy during the day, so I highly recommend going early. But the traditional streets, lanterns, cute shops and old architecture feel so uniquely Kyoto.

🎋 Arashiyama day trip
Everyone talks about the bamboo forest, and by itself it’s probably overrated tbh, but when you couple it with other things you can do in the area, I loved my day trip there! The nearby town is so cute, very residential so you get a taste of authentic Japanese living. It’s also surrounded by nature, temples, old buildings, rivers, mountains and cherry blossom lined streets 🌸 There’s even a hike you can do to see monkey’s! Again… get there EARLY 😂

⛩️ Fushimi Inari Shrine
I thought this place was going to be overrated, but there are SO MANY tori gates, it’s just so impressive and fun walking through the never ending labyrinth of them! come early!

Honestly, Kyoto is popular for a reason 💛

Heres to "doing it anyway" cause life is too short to wait around for people to be available to go with you all the time!
