Recently, I was thrilled to collaborate on a project with local artist Jan Larsen.

Jan Larsen's paintings beautifully capture the essence of the Balmain Peninsula, showcasing its unique charm and vibrant atmosphere through her artistic lens. Her works often depict the serene waters, historic architecture, and the slices of Balmain life that define this picturesque area, bringing to life the subtle nuances of light and color that make Balmain so special. It was a pleasure to photograph some of Jan's recent artworks for her upcoming 2026 calendar.

There is just something about a sunset and dramatic clouds! Mother Nature can provide the best backdrops; you just have to be out there.
If you schedule a family photoshoot with me, I will recommend we do it around the golden hours - the hour before or after sunrise or sunset. That way, we have the best light and the best chance of capturing shots just like this one. 😍

There are some moments in life where simplicity brings joy. The simple act of skimming a stone across the water is one such childhood moment.

Capturing this at a moment during a sunset walk is part of why I love to take photos. Documenting my family as we grow and change is important to me. These small moments that pass by in the blink of an eye will always bring a smile to my face.

Hi,
It's been a while since my last post. Did you miss me? 😅
It has been great to have some time with family and focus on taking photos that fill my heart.

It is that time of year again when I make the family dress up nicely and get the self-timer set up on the camera for our annual family photo! It's always a bit chaotic but we do end up with a great picture to document the family. I love doing this each year and it brings me much joy to look back over the photos from years past.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a wonderful festive season and hope you can spend some time doing what you love with those you love.
