PERSONAL BUSINESS INSIGHTS — Setting up a business on the other side of the world is just like setting up a new iPhone 📱🌏😅

You get a new iPhone and think: Yay! This will be easy.
Everything is in the cloud. You press a few buttons, wait an hour and voilà — your new phone looks just like your old one.

Done and dusted!

Except… it’s not. 😂

You open the first app and need to log in again. Forgotten password. Reset password. Verification code. Download something. Wait.

Then the next app. And the next.

And somewhere along the way you realise just HOW MANY apps you actually have. Business apps. Personal apps. Kids’ games. Random things you downloaded three years ago and haven’t touched since.

And suddenly you think: maybe this is actually a good opportunity to clean the whole thing up?

And that, I realised, is pretty much exactly what it feels like to set up my business — and my life — on the other side of the world. 🇨🇭➡️🇦🇺

I’ve done the visual transfer pretty successfully. The business is here. The website is here. The Instagram is here. Park House Studios is here. I’m here.

Now I just need to get all the bloody “apps” working again. 😂

The network. The clients. The systems. The connections. The routines. And maybe delete a few things along the way that I don’t actually need anymore.

I bet anyone who has ever changed phones knows this feeling.

And maybe some of you who have moved countries, changed careers or started over in business know it on a whole different level.

Drop me a message if you know the feeling! 🤍

And talking about starting again… new beginnings have been very much on my mind lately.

This Saturday I’m hosting our New Moon, New Beginnings Women’s Circle at Park House Studios — an evening to slow down, reflect on what you want to take with you and perhaps decide what you’re ready to leave behind.

A bit like setting up a new phone, really. 😉🌙

If that sounds like something you need right now, send me a message and I’ll send you the details.

Today, I’m handing the words over to some of the lovely women who have already joined me at Park House Studios. 💗

These testimonials come from different gatherings—co-working days, creative workshops, dance evenings and women’s events—but the same words appear again and again:

Warm. Welcoming. Relaxed. Inspiring. Connected.

They speak about arriving without knowing anyone and quickly feeling at home. About meeting like-minded women, sharing experiences, feeling supported and leaving more grounded, energised and confident.

They also mention the beautiful setup, delicious food and thoughtful details—which makes me very happy, because I genuinely put so much love and care into every event. 🩷

This is exactly the feeling Giselle and I want to create at our upcoming New Moon, New Beginnings Women’s Circle: a space where you can be yourself, feel seen, connect with other women and perhaps leave with a little more clarity about your own path.

If you’re standing on the edge of saying YES to an evening of nourishment, grounding and genuine connection, let these women’s words be your sign.

WHY I’M SHARING THIS✨

I want to show you a little more about what our upcoming Women’s Circle is really about—and introduce you properly to the woman who will be guiding us through it.

So, meet Giselle: the founder of Sofia Women’s Circle and our experienced facilitator for the evening. 💗

✨ New Moon, New Beginnings

✨ Park House Studios, Elanora Heights

You’ll find all further details and bookings through the link in my bio.

WHO IS GISELLE?⭐️

I’m Giselle, founder of Sofia Women’s Circle, and I’ve been holding women’s circles for almost seven years.

I’m also a woman who has lived a fair bit of life. I’ve worked in HR, real estate and community organisations. I’m a trained space holder, a mother, partner, daughter and friend—and now a woman in my 60s who is still working things out as I go.

I’m fairly down to earth. I enjoy a little ritual, love an oracle card and believe there is something extraordinary about women sitting in circle together.

Most importantly, I’m trained—and intuitively able—to hold a room with warmth, care and confidence.

WHY DOES SHE FACILITATE CIRCLES?🌟

I’ve seen what happens when women are given somewhere to simply be—to set down their responsibilities and feel truly heard.

I began holding circles because I wanted to create the kind of space I felt women were missing.

Over the years, I’ve watched women make decisions, set boundaries, rediscover parts of themselves, change jobs, create new things, leave old things behind, laugh until they cry—and sometimes simply breathe a little easier.

I continue because I still believe women need places like this.

WHAT IF I’VE NEVER BEEN TO A CIRCLE?💫

Then you are very welcome.

You can arrive exactly as you are. You don’t need experience with circles or meditation, and you choose how much you would like to share.

I’ll explain what we’re doing and why, and make the guidelines clear so everyone understands how we care for one another within the space.

There’s usually tea. There’s usually laughter. Sometimes there are tears. And you can take your time.

My job is to hold the edges so you can settle into the middle.

WHAT DOES SHE HOPE WOMEN TAKE HOME?✨

Why am I hosting a Women’s Circle? 💗

Because I truly believe in the power of women coming together.

For me, Park House Studios has always been about more than photography or a beautiful space. It’s about opening the doors, gathering interesting women around my table and creating meaningful moments together.

In many ways, this circle carries the same heart as my International Women’s Day and Be Seen in Pink events. If you joined me for either of those, you already know the warmth, thoughtful details, delicious food and vibe you can expect. 🩷

This time, the gathering will be smaller and more intimate. Giving you a chance to pause, connect and reflect on what new beginnings might be waiting for you.

Giselle and I would genuinely love to welcome you.

So, what actually is a Women’s Circle? 💗

Think of it as a space created for women to pause, feel supported and reconnect—with themselves and with each other.

Guided by Giselle, our circle will invite gentle reflection and sharing, always at your own comfort level. You can listen, contribute, journal and simply experience the moment in the way that feels right for you.

It’s about nourishing your body, mind, heart and soul—and creating enough stillness to gain new insights into who you are and who you would like to become. 🩷

Perhaps you’re entering a new chapter. Perhaps you’re craving deeper connection. Or perhaps you’re simply curious to experience something different.

Wherever you are on your journey, you are warmly welcome.
Our New Moon, New Beginnings Women’s Circle is coming soon to Park House Studios.

When was the last time you gave yourself an entire evening simply to pause, receive and reconnect?

A moment for yourself. Space to breathe. Time to reflect on what you would like to welcome into your life. 💗

If making time for yourself often slips down the priority list, I might have a lovely solution for you. 🩷

Giselle and I are bringing New Moon, New Beginnings—an intimate Women’s Circle—to Park House Studios.

It will be an evening to slow down, connect with yourself and share meaningful moments with other women. Together, we’ll enjoy a guided circle, a grounding tea ceremony, nourishing food and an optional whimsical portrait experience.

Whether this is your first Women’s Circle or one of many, you are warmly invited to come exactly as you are. 💕

PERSONAL BUSINESS INSIGHTS #2 — When the product doesn’t quite match the vision 😅

Another little behind-the-scenes moment from running a small business…

Sometimes you have an idea in your head of exactly how something is going to turn out — and then reality has other plans. 😂

This bread was one of those moments.

It might not have looked quite as beautiful as I imagined, but here’s the important part: it actually tasted really yummy! And I feel like there’s a business lesson somewhere in there too. 😉

Not everything has to be perfect to be good. Sometimes you just have to put it out there, learn from it, tweak it and try again.

And yes — I’m still figuring things out as I go, so if you have any tips for me, I’m always open to input!

Follow along for more Personal Business Insights — the wins, the lessons and apparently the occasional loaf of bread. 🤍

Sometimes you just need a Friday night that’s a little bit different. ✨

Not dinner out.
Not another night on the sofa.
Not networking with a name badge. 😉

Just a beautiful table, a drink in your hand, clay between your fingers and a group of lovely people creating something together.

This Friday, Brendan from Brendan’s Sculpture is taking over the table at Park House Studios and showing us how to create our very own lip sculpture — and I’ll take care of the drinks, nibbles and atmosphere.

Come on your own or bring a friend. You definitely don’t need to be “creative” to join us — that’s what Brendan is there for!

SIP & CREATE
Friday 28 August | 7–10pm
Park House Studios, Elanora Heights
$110 incl. everything

And because I’d much rather have a full table than empty chairs, there’s currently a little treat for my community:
✨ 25% off with code CREATE25

A few seats are still waiting for their people. Maybe one of them is yours. 💛
