We took the ferry across and spent the day exploring Point Lookout, spectacular beaches and rugged coastline, with plenty of classic Australian wildlife along the way — including kangaroos 🦘. The ocean views here are simply breathtaking, and the changing weather somehow made the island even more dramatic.

🌿🗿 Art hidden deep in the rainforest — Phoenix Sculpture Garden - Graham Radcliffe, Mount Glorious ❤️

Some places are special not simply because of what you see, but because of the people, stories and unexpected moments that come together along the way.

During our recent visit to Brisbane, our dear friend Margaret took us into the beautiful rainforest of Mount Glorious to discover a place we had heard very little about — the remarkable Phoenix Sculpture Garden.

Hidden among the lush subtropical rainforest, the garden feels almost like another world. As we wandered along the peaceful forest paths, sculptures began appearing between the trees — beautiful works in marble and stone surrounded by ferns, towering trees and the sounds of the Australian bush. There is something quite magical about discovering art in such a natural setting rather than inside the walls of a conventional gallery.

What made our visit even more memorable was the opportunity to meet Margit Ratcliffe, custodian of the Phoenix Sculpture Garden. Margit very kindly joined us in the vlog and shared the fascinating story behind the garden, its sculptures and the artistic legacy that has been preserved here. Hearing these stories while standing among the sculptures gave us a much deeper appreciation of this extraordinary place.

It was exactly the kind of travel experience we love — away from the usual tourist trail, discovering somewhere genuinely different through a local friend. A big thank you to Margaret for introducing us to this wonderful hidden gem and making the day so special. ❤️

Art, rainforest, history, friendship and stories all came together beautifully at Mount Glorious. Definitely one of the most unusual and memorable places we discovered around Brisbane.

Join us for a beautiful evening exploring Brisbane, Queensland, from spectacular sunset views high above the city to a night cruise along the Brisbane River.

We begin at Brisbane’s Cultural Precinct and cross the Neville Bonner Bridge before heading up to the Sky Deck. From here, we experience panoramic views across Brisbane and towards the Great Dividing Range as the sun sets — and brave the glass floor high above the city!

As darkness falls, Brisbane transforms into a glittering cityscape. We enjoy drinks overlooking the city before heading down to the Brisbane River and boarding a CityCat ferry for a wonderful night cruise through the heart of Brisbane.

Cruising along the river gives us a completely different view of Brisbane at night, passing the illuminated CBD and financial district before reaching one of the highlights of the evening — the iconic Story Bridge glowing above the Brisbane River.

We finish our Brisbane evening in Teneriffe with an authentic Thai dinner followed by artisanal gelato.

🚆 Sydney to Kiama by Train | A Stunning Coastal Journey… But No Blowhole! 😲

Sometimes the journey really is as beautiful as the destination! 🌊🚆

We hopped aboard the train from Sydney to Kiama, and what followed was one of those wonderfully easy Australian day trips — rolling through lush landscapes, seaside towns and some truly spectacular stretches of the NSW South Coast. 🌿🌊

Kiama welcomed us with its relaxed coastal charm, beautiful ocean views and, of course, its famous Kiama Blowhole. There was just one small problem… the Blowhole wasn’t blowing! 😂💨

Apparently, even one of Australia’s most famous natural attractions is entitled to a day off!

But did that spoil the trip? Not at all. The dramatic coastline, rocky cliffs, fresh sea air and the simple pleasure of exploring Kiama made the day well worth it. And the train journey itself turned out to be one of the highlights.

A lovely reminder that travel doesn’t always go according to plan — and sometimes that makes the story even better. ❤️

After an unforgettable journey through Myanmar, it was finally time to say goodbye to Yangon and begin the long 24-hour journey home to Australia.

But our final day still had a few surprises! 🌿 We spent our last hours in Yangon exploring the beautiful People’s Park, sharing some final moments with our wonderful local guide Mr. Aung, before heading to Yangon International Airport.

From Myanmar 🇲🇲 to Malaysia 🇲🇾 and finally Sydney 🇦🇺 — this episode captures the whole journey home, including the airports, flights, transit and that wonderful feeling of finally seeing the Sydney Opera House and Harbour again after a long trip.

Myanmar gave us extraordinary temples, ancient cities, beautiful landscapes, fascinating food and, above all, incredibly warm people. ❤️ We came home with far more memories than we expected.
