We didn't want to leave China. After 11 unforgettable days exploring Beijing, the Great Wall, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou and Shanghai, it's finally time to begin the long journey back to Australia.

Join Diversity Travellers on our final China travel adventure as we travel from Shanghai Pudong International Airport through Hong Kong and back to Sydney. From neon streets to futuristic skylines — Shanghai felt like stepping into the future for 48 unforgettable hours.

We wandered through the electric energy of Nanjing Road, cruised past the glowing skyscrapers of Pudong after dark, and even discovered one of the world’s most futuristic metro stations hidden beneath a galaxy of lights. 🚇🌌

Shanghai is not just a city… it’s a spectacle of speed, technology, lights, culture, and endless human energy. Every corner felt cinematic. From giant LED screens and packed night streets to peaceful river reflections beside the Oriental Pearl Tower, this city truly never sleeps.

One thing that amazed us most was how Shanghai blends old-world China with ultra-modern ambition. Traditional tea houses can exist just minutes away from some of the tallest towers on Earth. That contrast makes the city unforgettable.

Our China series continues — and this chapter might be one of the most visually stunning yet. ❤️
