I love to capture a mama smiling ✨ Whether it’s your first or your fourth, that glow of expecting never gets old.

This maternity muse shoot-along was all about celebrating that season - the joy, the anticipation, the quiet strength of growing a little human. Golden light, soft waves, and mamas feeling seen exactly as they are right now.

Because this chapter deserves to be remembered, not rushed.

Bombo did what Bombo does. That coastline, those rock formations, that light - it brings something to a session that you simply can’t manufacture.

Location matters more than people realise. It sets the mood before anyone’s even lifted a camera. And living in Sydney, we are genuinely spoiled for choice. A short drive in almost any direction and you’ve got something extraordinary to work with. The south coast, the mountains, the beaches, the bush. A million different backdrops, a million different moods.

But some of my most beautiful sessions? A backyard. A local park. Somewhere that’s just theirs. Because magic isn’t always about the destination.

The prompt was “everyone kiss mum.”

The son delivered. Dad thought that was the funniest thing he’d ever seen. Mum couldn’t hold it together. And the baby? Completely unbothered. Sitting there like she’d seen it all before.

Balmoral mornings with the Coopers - I couldn’t make this up if I tried.

There’s a version of motherhood that doesn’t get photographed - the 3am feeds, the exhaustion, the days you barely recognise yourself. I’m rarely invited into that one. What I get to witness is this: the quiet, the green, a small hand wrapped around yours.

We’re out in the elements, fern and filtered light all around, and somehow it’s still calm enough for a proper contact nap. That’s the part I love most - that something so beautifully styled can still feel this safe, this soft, this real for both of you.

Both versions of motherhood are true. I just get to capture one of them.

Winter sessions have my whole heart. And last year, I witnessed some of the most beautiful, real, unguarded family moments I have ever had the honour of capturing.

These beautiful images were taken during last year’s MUSE Shoot Along Sessions - and the warmth, connection, and pure joy in every frame still takes my breath away. It was such an incredible experience, and the success of those sessions has me beyond excited to announce…
