It feels like just yesterday… but this was a year ago now 🤍

Capturing Rachelle in this chapter of her story - quietly waiting, holding so much love before it had a place to land - is something I still think about often.

What I loved most about this session was how clear her vision was from the very beginning. She knew how she wanted it to feel… soft, grounded, a little windswept, a little wild. We spent time creating a couple of mood boards together so we could really align on that vision - and when the evening came, everything just flowed.

No overthinking. No pressure. Just trust, connection, and the kind of light that makes everything feel a little bit like magic.

These are the moments that remind me how special it is to slow down and honour this part of your story… before everything changes, and becomes something new 🤍

Some sessions don’t unfold the way you imagined… and that’s part of the magic ✨

We had planned a soft, dreamy morning at the beach, but the rain had other ideas. So we pivoted - tucked ourselves into the beautiful grounds of Vaucluse House, chasing pockets of light and shelter.

And honestly… I’m so glad we did.

There’s something about leaning into the moment, letting go of the plan, and trusting that something beautiful will meet you there. These images feel like exactly that 🤍

There’s a quiet story many mothers carry.

That their bodies have changed too much.
That softness should be hidden.
That the marks left behind from growing a baby somehow take away from their beauty.

But when I look at you through my lens, none of that is what I see.

I see a woman who created life.
A body that stretched and held and protected a tiny human.
A heart that has given itself over and over again in ways most people will never fully understand.

And I know how much courage it takes to stand in front of a camera in this season of life.
To let yourself be seen.
To trust someone to hold this moment gently.

Because motherhood asks so much of you.
Your time, your energy, your sleep… even your sense of self.

But it also leaves you with something extraordinary.

A story written across your body.
A softness that speaks of love.
A strength that quietly holds a whole world together.

When I photograph you, I’m not looking for perfection.

I’m looking for the beauty of this chapter - exactly as it is.

Because one day your children will look at these photographs and see you the way they always have.

Their safe place.
Their whole world.
Their mama.

And that is something worth remembering.

Going through old photographs for Mum’s memorial slideshow was something I wasn’t quite prepared for.

Image after image of her — laughing, playing the piano, holding us as children, surrounded by friends, living a full and beautiful life.

It was like meeting different versions of my mum all over again.

Not just the mum I knew in my lifetime, but the woman she was in every season of her story.

Full of life.
Loved deeply.
A mother. A friend. A sister. A daughter. A teacher.

And it made me realise just how lucky I am to have these little windows into her life.

Photographs have always mattered to me, but going through these images reminded me why I care so much about what I do.

Because one day these photos become more than just images.

They become memories we can return to.
Proof of love.
A glimpse into a life that shaped ours.

I love when a branding client comes to me with a vision.

A moodboard that makes my heart skip. A location that feels a little unexpected. An idea that’s not just “headshots”… but a whole story.

For this one, we stepped next door - into M’s neighbour’s garden. Yes, that garden. Ken Done’s. 🌿✨
Every corner felt like a new scene. Colour, texture, light shifting with every step. It was playful, bold, completely unique - and so perfectly her.

This is what I adore about branding sessions. They’re not meant to look like everyone else’s. They’re meant to feel like you.

So much of this season lives in the in-between -
the laughter, the shared history, the excitement quietly building for what’s to come.

This session was filled with smiles as we talked about their relationship and the journey that’s led them here, making space for a love that’s about to grow in the most beautiful way. The Rose Garden in Centennial Park is quickly becoming a favourite of mine and my clients - a timeless, peaceful backdrop for moments like these.

There was a time when it felt like I was always driving up to the dunes - chasing soft light, wind-swept textures, and that quiet kind of magic that lives there.

In 2025, I only photographed six sessions at the dunes… which honestly feels wild to me, because it’s one of my favourite places in the world. Anyone who’s visited the homepage of my website recently will know just how obsessed I am with this particular session - it’s been living rent-free in my head ever since.

It’s a place that feels expansive and grounding all at once. A place that holds space for motherhood so beautifully.

And the best part? Two beautiful clients have already claimed the dunes for their pregnancy images this year - which means it won’t be long before I’m hopping back in the car, camera on the passenger seat, heart very full.

Some places just call you back.
I can’t wait to return ✨

There’s something quietly magical about extended family sessions 🤍
The kind where grandparents wrap little arms around their necks, uncles scoop kids up without thinking twice, and everyone - everyone - gets a snuggle.

These are the sessions that feel less like a photoshoot and more like a gathering. Stories shared, laughter layered, generations standing shoulder to shoulder. The ordinary chaos that somehow becomes the most extraordinary thing to look back on.

Fun fact: halfway through this session, the rain rolled in.
So we all camped out under the rocks, waiting it out together - laughing, huddled close, a little wild and a little soggy.
Little William? Absolutely living his best life. Rain, rocks, family… 10/10 experience.

Because sometimes the moments you don’t plan for are the ones that stay with you the longest
