A sunrise or sunset from me? Easy. Just grab the drone and go. Astro? Apparently I need an entire support team.
The biggest problem is finding someone willing to stand with me in a cold, dark night, in the middle of God knows where at some stupid hour, because I refuse to be murdered for a Milky Way photo.
I’ve missed many perfectly clear nights simply because I couldn’t find a victim… I mean, a photography companion. Every astro photo I’ve posted exists because some poor soul agreed to come with me 😂
This time, though, I was lucky to be invited by Karen Woulfe to shoot the Milky Way at this beautiful vineyard in the Hunter Valley. We struggled with all the floodlights, but Lightroom came to the rescue.
So yes, every astro photo from me feels like a huge achievement. It’s like a group project. 🌌😂
