Around 3 weeks ago I turned 25. I normally don’t care about age or birthdays or anything like that. But I always wanted to visit Japan, see the culture, the food and people. I grew up watching animes and that really made me like Japan.
I asked my best friend & my coach to make me look good for my trip and he did not disappoint. I booked my flight 1 week after my birthday for 2.5 weeks knowing literally nothing about what I was going to do and where I was going to go. Had no plans and no expectations. Here’s some of my experience. I arrived in Osaka. from the moment I got to airport I could feel the cultural difference. Everything was so organized, people were extremely kind and devoted to their work. Everywhere was incredibly clean.
Spent 4 days in Osaka eating everything I see.. Walking 20k+ steps to see as much of the city as possible.
Then I head to Tokyo, Shinjuku for a week. I got there on a friday morning and had no idea Shinjuku & Shibuya was known for being a party district. People were sleeping on the streets at 7am and it was so funny watching them try to walk completely drunk. Anyway, it took me a day or two to adjust and I continued with my food trip I mean Japan trip.. Went to Pokemon cafe - where they only take people with booking and waited 3 hours to watch pikachu dance and have a cute pokemon lunch (met with really cool and funny people while waiting) and we ended up eating together.
Went to temples and shrines, which were full of tourists but still it was beautiful.
I tried all sorts of cafes cat cafes, dog cafes, maid cafe, normal cafe, owl cafe (was fully booked 😭) cosplay cafes and more..
I wasn’t blending in with my long beard so decided to say bye and go full clean face. Had a haircut and head spa which was increadible..
I still wanted to stay somewhat fit so I went to different gyms at least 3 times a week and I loved their gym culture, sole gyms requires you to put down your estimated use time for equipment so you have to respect everyones time, gyms are extremely clean, no shoes in change rooms no photos etc. ( i did take one on the last day tho 😛)
