Imagine 20 years from now and looking back on these photos… remembering the time you spent together. All those small and sacred moments of family time.

It’s not lost on me what a unique and beautiful privilege it is to spend time with a family in those early days, when they are welcoming their newest family member to their little tribe. It’s even more of a privilege when they invite me back again for their second born.

Did you know that you can book in a newborn shoot when your baby isn’t actually a newborn? Newborn photoshoots typically happen between one to two weeks after your baby is born. At that age, babies love being all snuggled and squished up just like they were in the womb and they are sleeping most of the day so photographers can wrap them and put them in adorable positions to create beautiful artwork of your baby.

In-home family lifestyle shoots are perfect for your family at any stage. I’m a mum, I know exactly how hectic it is preparing your house and your family for a newborn baby, especially when you have other small children too! And sometimes the thought of having to get everyone dressed and ready and out the door for a photoshoot is the last thing you want to do just after having your baby. In home photos means I come to you! We can spend the time we need creating beautiful family photos, there’s no rush and the other kids can enjoy some chill time at home between photos. But the absolute best part of having an in-home family photoshoot is that you aka Mum, Mummy, Mama - YOU get in the frame too!

I loved meeting Sam and her gorgeous little family. Just after her beautiful Emily was born, she decided that she would love to have some family photos taken for her family living overseas. We had such a fun and relaxed session. Sam’s gorgeous son Hamish joined in and then could go back to playing with his toys by my feet. We spent a couple of hours shooting together which meant Sam could relax knowing we’ve got the family photos covered and she could just enjoy this time with Emily.

Sweet Alexander 💙 What a treat to have some newborn snuggles! This may have been the most chill baby I’ve ever met! What an honour to be invited into someone’s home in those early days of a new normal. A new family, a new routine, and many many new feelings!
