e team, Kate & Chris Buechner. Kate is a mum to 3 kids of her own Felix 17, Max 15 and Millie 12 and her dog Immy and cat Sarah. As a mum she understands ways to help you relax and have fun with your kids. Kate's passion is photographing families in a natural way. She is able to capture the personalities of your kids through her photographs. Her ability to connect with your family means that she capture images that are a true reflection of your family. Kate is an associate of the AIPP. What does that mean for you? It means that she is bound by a code of ethics, she is required to have insurance, and continue with ongoing training. For you that means protection, and that you are dealing with an ethical photographer. She was won numerous awards at both state and National level with the AIPP, and has been a judge for the NSW AIPP awards for 2014/2015/2016, Queensland AIPP awards 2016 and National AIPP photography awards 2016. She won the AIPP NSW Family Photographer of the Year in 2011. She was awarded the Henry Talbot Award for service the to the AIPP in 2015. She was the NSW AIPP president from 2012-2014 and served on the NSW AIPP council from 2008-2014.

Grandparents, parents, a brand new baby and everyone in between. This is exactly the kind of session I love because there is so much story in the room. The way the grandparents look at the baby. The way the whole family pulls together around this tiny new person.

There's something about getting a family out into the bush that just works.
The formality drops away. Nobody's thinking about where to look or what to do with their arms. The dog is just the dog. And the family is just the family.
This crew, five of them plus their gorgeous dog, spent an afternoon in the trees together and I think these are some of my favourite frames from the year so far.
The older kids, the parents in the middle of it all, the dog insisting on being part of every single shot. It was easy and relaxed and real and that's exactly what I'm after every time.

This is what that looks like.

A dance portrait session at my Gordon studio is a chance to capture your dancer at this exact point in her journey. The costume, the lines, the confidence she carries when she's in her element. These are photos she'll look back on for the rest of her life and be so proud of.

When a woman hits a milestone birthday, the people who love her most show up.
And that's exactly what happened here. All nine of them, kids, partners and three beautiful dogs, gathered under this incredible avenue of trees to celebrate her. The love in this group was something else.
This is the kind of session I live for. Nobody asked them to stand there and look meaningful. They just did, because they were all there for the same reason.
