25 years of community, courage, remembrance, hope… and people coming together for something so much bigger than themselves. 💜

It’s an absolute honour for us at DB Media (Dusk & Brown) to partner with the Hills Relay For Life and witness firsthand just how powerful community can be.

There’s something incredibly moving about seeing thousands of people walk side by side, families, survivors, carers, friends, businesses and volunteers, all united by love, loss, resilience and hope. It’s a reminder that even in life’s hardest moments, people still show up for one another.

This year felt especially emotional as the event celebrated 25 years. Hearing the founding committee members reflect on how it all began was such a beautiful reminder of what can happen when ordinary people come together with a shared purpose.

We were also so inspired by Bev Jordan, who once again showed incredible courage by shaving her head in support of the cause she has championed for so many years. People like Bev are the heartbeat of community events like this.

Cancer affects so many lives, and seeing the funds, awareness and support raised for the incredible work of Cancer Council NSW is something we never take for granted.

As storytellers, moments like these mean so much to us. We truly believe community-led events carry some of the most important stories - stories of humanity, connection, resilience and hope.

We can’t wait to put together this very special 25th anniversary film and help preserve the heart behind what makes this event so meaningful year after year. 💜
