On March 21st, Daysea took the stage at The Lord Gladstone Hotel, kicking off the Below The Knees night with their vibrant energy. Their opening set was a perfect start to an evening filled with incredible music, sharing the spotlight with bands like Pizza Boys, brag, and Menarku. It's always a pleasure to capture moments that resonate so deeply with both performers and audience alike. 🎢✨

πŸ“± Behind The Lens – Photo of the Week

Behind The Lens this week features a collage from Fall of Rome Fall of Rome, capturing multiple moments from their live performance through a single visual story.

This collage brings together different angles of the band on stage, from wide shots showing the full setup to close-up moments highlighting individual performers. The mix of black and white tones with subtle colour elements helps focus on the raw energy of the performance while keeping a consistent visual style.

The torn paper collage design adds a creative layer to the image, making it feel more like a piece of artwork rather than just a collection of photos. It’s a great way to showcase multiple highlights from a set while keeping everything in one frame.

For Xeric Records, this style is about more than just documenting a gig, it’s about telling the story of the performance and capturing the atmosphere from different perspectives.

The energy kept building at the Metro Theatre The Metro Theatre as TX2 Tx2 Official hit the stage following the opening set.

After a strong start to the night, TX2 took things up another level with a performance that brought intensity, emotion, and a real connection with the crowd.

From the moment the set began, the atmosphere in the room shifted β€” the crowd was fully engaged, with strong reactions to each song and a clear connection between the artist and the audience. The combination of powerful vocals, dynamic movement across the stage, and the lighting setup created a high-impact live experience.

You could feel the momentum of the night building as the set progressed, setting things up perfectly for the headline act to follow.

Always great to capture moments like this and see international artists bring their energy to Sydney’s live music scene.

πŸ“Έ Sunday Photo Story

One of my favourite shots from the recent Fall Of Rome Fall of Rome gig.

What I love about this photo is how it captures the whole band in the moment every musician locked into the performance while the stage lights cut through the darkness behind them. The black and white edit really brings out the atmosphere of the show and lets the energy of the performance speak for itself.

Live music photography is always about timing, catching that split second where the music, lighting, and emotion all line up. This frame felt like one of those moments.

There’s something special about photographing bands when the stage is alive and the crowd is right there with them, and this shot really reminds me why I love capturing live gigs.

One of my favourite moments that I captured live of Melrose Avenue Melrose Avenue lighting up the stage while supporting TX2 Tx2 Official alongside Rain City Drive Rain City Drive.

The energy in the room and the crowd atmosphere made this a great night for live music photography.
