Why Do You Celebrate Easter but Not Believe in the One Who Died for You?
Today, as you all gather to celebrate Easter with family meals and festive traditions, it’s crucial to remember the profound significance of this day. Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, a historical event that has shaped the course of humanity.
Jesus, a man whose existence is well-documented by historians, endured immense suffering and death on a Roman cross. His crucifixion is not just a religious narrative but a historical fact, supported by various sources, including Roman records and archaeological findings. The Gospel of John describes a garden near the site of Jesus’s crucifixion, and recent archaeological discoveries have uncovered traces of olive trees and grapevines at this location, aligning with the biblical account.
The physical torment Jesus endured was beyond comprehension. He was scourged with whips embedded with sharp objects, causing deep lacerations and significant blood loss. The term “excruciating” originates from the pain of crucifixion. Nails were driven through His wrists and feet, and He was left to hang, leading to asphyxiation, heart failure, and shock. This was not for His own wrongdoing but for the sins of humanity.
Yet, despite this sacrifice, manydont acknowledge and continue to seek peace, love, and purpose elsewhere chasing stars, statues crystals and other non superstitious beliefs which come from the devil himself, you’d know if you studied the details in The Bible, the text rich in history and wisdom, has accurately foretold events and societal shifts we witness today. Still, its messages are often overlooked and dismissed.
Without embracing the truth of Jesus’s sacrifice and resurrection, many grapple with feelings of emptiness, anxiety, and a lack of direction. But turning to Him offers a path to fulfillment, healing, and clarity. By placing Jesus at the center of our lives, we open ourselves to transformation and understanding and true happiness and fulfilment.
Jesus was real. God is real. He is our Creator. He loves you deeply. This Easter, consider not just the celebration but the profound truth behind it. if you want to get to know him or want to understand him better please reach out.
