Simon’s Christening was a beautiful celebration wrapped in faith, family, and gentle joy. Surrounded by loved ones, he was welcomed into the Christian community with heartfelt prayers and tender moments that filled the church with warmth. The soft glow of candles, the quiet reverence of the ceremony, and the smiles shared between parents, godparents, and guests created an atmosphere of pure grace.

From the blessing at the altar to the peaceful stillness as holy water touched his forehead, every moment reflected the love surrounding Simon as he began his spiritual journey. It was a day marked by tradition, connection, and the promise of guidance and hope — a cherished milestone for a little boy deeply loved.

Over the weekend, we ran a street‑portrait workshop that blended creative exploration with hands‑on shooting in some beautifully lit urban pockets.

As we moved deeper into the city, I switched to the new Sony 100mm f/2.8 GM Macro. This lens became the star of the night. Its razor‑sharp rendering and close‑focus ability let participants play with reflections, textures, and intimate portrait details, especially around the metallic surfaces and glass walls we found along the way.

To shape the mood, we lit our scenes with Nanlite Pavotube 6C tubes, adding subtle colour accents and guiding the ambient glow already present in the alleyways and architectural spaces. The combination of practical street lighting and controlled tube light created a cinematic palette that made every frame feel intentional and atmospheric.

It was a night of creativity, experimentation, and learning, capturing portraits that feel both modern and deeply expressive.

Over the weekend, we ran a street‑portrait workshop that blended creative exploration with hands‑on shooting in some beautifully lit urban pockets. For the park shots, I used the Sony 135mm GM II to carve out those dreamy compressed backgrounds and painterly bokeh. The long focal length gave everyone a chance to experiment with distance, framing, and isolating their subject against the soft glow of evening lights.

James’ baptism was a day wrapped in light, love, and tradition and every moment felt like it carried a little bit of heaven with it. Inside the church, the Sony A1 II paired with the 85mm f/1.4 GM II and the A7V with the 35mm f/1.4 GM let me capture the ceremony with a softness that matched the emotion in the room. The icons glowed, the candles flickered, and every blessing, embrace, and quiet smile fell into frame with that signature depth and warmth these lenses bring.

From the gentle anointing to the water cascading over his tiny head, James was surrounded by family who held him with pride, faith, and tenderness. The church atmosphere rich textures, golden tones, and heartfelt connection came alive through the glass.

Later at the reception, the celebration shifted into joy and laughter. Using the Sony A1 II + 28–70mm f/2 GM with the HVL‑F60RM2 flash, every detail sparkled: the blue and white décor, the tiny suit, the hugs from grandparents, the clinking glasses, and the candid moments that make family gatherings unforgettable. The flash brought a crisp, polished finish to the evening perfect for preserving the energy and colour of the celebration.

James’ Baptism
Today we celebrated a beautiful milestone for little James, surrounded by family, faith, and so much love. His gentle eyes, tiny hands, and the calm way he embraced every moment made this day feel extra special.

From the blessings to the quiet, tender details, every part of this ceremony was filled with meaning. Grateful to capture these memories for a family who radiates warmth and kindness.

Welcome to your journey, sweet James. May your life be full of light, love, and endless blessings.

Mayson’s Christening, A Day Wrapped in Grace

Mayson’s christening began in the quiet glow of home, where soft morning light settled gently over every detail. Using the Sony A1II + 50mm f/1.2 GM and Sony A7V + 35mm f/1.4 GM, each moment unfolded with a sense of purity and calm, tiny hands exploring rosary beads, delicate fabrics draped over the bed, and the tender exchanges between family that set the tone for the day. Every frame felt intimate, warm, and deeply personal.

At the church, the atmosphere shifted into something beautifully reverent. With the Sony A1II + 85mm f/1.4 GM II and Sony A7V + 28–70mm f/2 GM, the ceremony was captured with depth and intention, the priest’s blessing, the shimmer of holy water, the glow of stained‑glass windows, and Mayson’s curious gaze taking in the sacred space around him. These lenses brought forward every emotion: the pride in his parents’ eyes, the gentle touch of tradition, and the joy that radiated through the room.

From the quiet tenderness of home to the spiritual embrace of the church, Mayson’s christening was a celebration of love, faith, and family preserved in photographs that honour both the beauty of the day and the little boy at the heart of it.
