"The Meet Up" Part 2

Migrating has many elements to it, including the emotional and physical toll that it comes with disrupting your life. To sum it up, Sofia’s job focuses on people and problem solving, and considers it a privileged to work with clients with diverse backgrounds and personal stories. Some good, others upsetting, and a few she would describe as incredible.

Her job as an Immigration lawyer allows her to work remotely, and sometimes never gets to meet her clients face to face, even though working with them for months … and that is the beauty of technology.

Maria and Roberto are the clients she helped migrate from Valenzuela, and they’re case was challenging. But what struck her the most was their resilience despite the pressures of not knowing if they will remain in Australia. Their story is one of the incredible ones, that she just had to tell.
