Messing around with component mounting for making a little MIDI controller. Not sure exactly what I want on there yet or what capacity the processors I have can handle BUT that's a problem for another day. For now, it's just fun tactile LEGOs

I bought a tape recorder and started experimenting with tape loops... I think they're really cool! The music on this is directly from the tape loop I made by hitting record during a few different parts of a song of mine as it looped around until I got something I liked. Then I played it back and messed with the speed while recording it into my DAW.

Really wanted to layer other stuff on top of it to make a fuller instrumental, but also wanted to keep it mostly raw for this video.

I'm determined to make a loop that uses drums in an interesting way because I can't find any that include strong rhythm sections (for obvious reasons, because you can't sync multiple tape decks reliably). This was one of my first attempts and I'm pretty happy with it!

Do you know anyone messing around with tape loops that have drums in the mix? Would love to hear some!

This is the only audio that saved properly from this session 😓 there was a synth/drum backing I was making on the iPhones that didn't record. Recreating the instrumental tonight to layer under the camera audio guitar/vocals. Follow me (& sub [ Aemyn ] on YouTube) for the rest of the story once the video is done! 🤫🕵️‍♂️🎵❄️
