February Reflections
February brought some beautiful momentum for Dear Lover. We locked in a few more weddings with couples who connected with the heart behind what we do, and it’s always such a privilege knowing we’ll be trusted to capture such meaningful moments in their lives.
This month also gave me the chance to experiment a little creatively. I spent some time testing black and white film, exploring the texture and emotion it can bring to a wedding story. There’s something timeless about it - raw, romantic, and incredibly honest. After seeing the results, I’m excited to begin weaving more of this into future weddings.
One of the highlights of the month was capturing a vibrant Jewish wedding right in the heart of the city. The day was filled with incredible energy, tradition, and celebration - the kind of atmosphere that reminds me why I love documenting weddings so much.
Looking ahead, March is shaping up to be a special one. We’ll be heading across the Tasman to New Zealand to capture a couple of love stories there. Shooting overseas has always been something I’ve dreamed of, so being able to take Dear Lover beyond Australia and document weddings in such a beautiful place feels incredibly exciting.
