Back to the tiny details…to those late nights staring into their lingering eyes. The way their nose scrunches. Their tiny ears or their soft silky hair.
This is why I love newborn photography so much.

Apparently everyone wants the bts of me working…. so here you go a little bit of this & a little bit of that😉

When I started photography I already had 3 kids and took no booking deposits! If you think booking fees & cancellation policies are unfair… Step in my shoes and imagine this!

Imagine spending an hour the night before preparing for your session as a newborn, family and maternity photographer.
Setting everything up. (Props, set ups, outfits etc)
Organising babysitting, dropping off your kids and preparing their meals and activities.
Steaming all the outfits.
Organising all the products and displays.
Getting yourself ready.
Setting up the studio.
And then receiving a message literally 10 minutes before your session saying they can’t make it.

And the hardest part? You don’t get paid for that time.

I really hate to admit this, but I was right there in that situation.
I was that girl, it made me feel terrible! And that is exactly why I have a booking and cancellation policy in place.

I completely understand that life happens. Babies get sick, kids get sick, things come up and sometimes plans genuinely need to change.

If you message me a day or so ahead of time and let me know what’s happening, I’m more than happy to work with you to find another suitable date. (I’m a mum of 5, so I totally understand).

My policies aren’t there to make things difficult or to take advantage of anyone. They’re there to protect my time, my business and the preparation that goes into creating your session.

I’m here to make the process as easy and stress-free as possible for you.

But when my time is wasted at the last minute, it’s not fair on me either, because behind every small business is a person who has prepared, planned and made time especially for you. That is why to secure a session a booking deposit is in place.

Life lately has been a little… chaotic!
Between being a mum, making sure the kids get the attention they need, keeping up with everyday life, and trying to find the motivation to show up consistently on social media, I’ve definitely been a little quiet around here.

The truth is, as much as I LOVE being behind the camera and photographing beautiful people, businesses and beautiful moments, there’s a whole other side to running a photography business that isn’t quite as glamorous….
The books.
The emails.
The advertising.
The admin.
The endless “I really should post something today” thoughts that are never too far from my mind.
I have learnt that sometimes life just gets that way….honestly, I’m learning that’s okay.

While I may not always be showing up here consistently, I have been busy behind the scenes. Listening to the polls and bringing you guys something special.
