I had the honour of photographing all three of these beautiful babies as newborns on wards, so being able to then paint each of their ultrasound scans into one timeless artwork for mum made this piece even more meaningful.

A beautiful keepsake capturing where their story first began, now displayed in their family home to be treasured for years to come.

One of the hardest parts of running a photography business and being a full time mum is having to reschedule sessions last minute when your own children become unwell.

Waking in the early hours of the morning to comfort them or doing hospital trips in the middle of the night. It’s not easy and with young children it’s unpredictable.

As photographers, we know families organise outfits, partners take time off work, children are prepared, and excitement builds around your session. So when we have to send that message cancelling or rescheduling, please know it weighs extremely heavy on us too and it’s always my last option.

As photographers we show up for your milestones, your newborns, your growing families, and the moments that matter most to you, but sometimes our little people need us to “just be their mum”.

I love what I do, but I will always be a mum first.

To every client who responds with kindness when I have had no other option, replied with a sense of patience and understanding during those moments, I honestly thank you.

It never goes unnoticed 🤍
