You don’t have to feel “photo ready” to have maternity photos.

You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to buy the perfect dress.
And you definitely don’t need to feel completely comfortable in front of a camera.

You can wear jeans and a simple top.
Borrow something from my client wardrobe.
Bring your little one along.
Or do a bit of everything.

Because maternity photos aren’t really about looking like someone else’s version of pregnancy.

They’re about remembering you in it.

The bump. Your body doing this incredible thing. The little person who still wants to be picked up. And this very short season before everything changes again.

My maternity sessions take place in my natural light studio in Dural, Sydney, with access to my client wardrobe and plenty of guidance from me along the way.

Two completely different chapters.

If you know you’d love both maternity and newborn photos, my tip is to organise them while you’re still pregnant rather than waiting until baby arrives.

It means one less thing to think about during those newborn weeks.

And you get to keep both sides of the story. 🤍

Your toddler doesn’t need to sit still for the entire newborn session.

Honestly, they probably won’t — and that’s okay.

I keep expectations low and realistic. Toddlers are still learning what it means to be a big sibling, so they might be excited, affectionate, distracted or completely uninterested.

We’ll keep things simple: a cuddle, a kiss, one quick photo, then time to move and explore.

I’m not trying to make your toddler look perfectly behaved. I’m looking for the real moments — the proud smiles, careful touches, two-second cuddles and all the personality in between.

So don’t spend the morning telling them to be “good for the photos”.

Give them a simple action, a clear finish and plenty of room to be themselves.

That’s where the best sibling moments happen.

We cuddle. Feed. Settle. Take a break.

And sometimes those wide-eyed, wriggly moments become favourites.

Your newborn doesn’t need to perform for their photos.

My newborn sessions in my Dural studio are baby-led, relaxed and leave plenty of time for everything a newborn might need.

Come in. Hold your baby. Love on them.

I’ll guide you when you need it and leave space for the little moments that happen naturally in between.

There is something so special about watching a gallery unfold.

It begins quietly.

Soft window light.
Bare feet.
Hands resting on the little life that’s growing beneath them.

It feels calm.
Almost like time has slowed down for a minute.

Then we step outside.

The dress catches the breeze.
She moves a little more freely.
The gallery changes.

Not because she’s changed…
But because pregnancy isn’t just one feeling.

It’s excitement.
It’s anticipation.
It’s stillness.
It’s strength.
It’s wonder.
Sometimes all in the same hour.

That’s why I love being able to photograph both.

The quiet moments inside.

And the wild, free ones outside.

Together they tell a fuller story.

Because years from now, I don’t want you to just remember what your bump looked like.

I want you to remember how this season felt. 🤍
