I highly encourage couples to have an autumn/winter wedding. Itā€™s never that cold in Sydney anyway and oh boy do we get gorgeous light and colours! No risk of a scorching hot day either.
Vendors and guests tend to be more available as well, and the whole experience is cosy and relaxed šŸ’–

On Valentineā€™s Day I had the pleasure of shooting 3 micro-weddings at the Sydney Opera House and James and Tiareā€™s was one of them.

For a few years now the NSW Registry office has been organising 38 weddings on Valentineā€™s Day across the Opera House and Pyrmont.

These weddings are short but not short on emotion for sure!

ANNOUNCEMENT -

Iā€™ve been quiet on the grid lately, and thatā€™s because Iā€™ve been working behind the scenes to upgrade and refresh my branding which includes a name change. ā€˜Girl in the White Dressā€™ served me well for 15 years but Iā€™ve been feeling an urge for some time to go back to basics - my own name.

Same photographer, same style (always evolving and keeping up with the times though), same dedication to my lovely couples.

The weddings I have booked for 2026 are showing an evolution in the wedding landscape and I cannot be more excited to document them. A fresh take on traditions, unique personalised concepts, and incredible attention to detail. Thank you to all my couples past and coming for your trust - it means more than you know šŸ«¶
