We are the first generation to see ourselves through machines before we see ourselves in mirrors. CONVERGENCE is that mirror held up to its audience - A study of how readily we have allowed the technology in our phones and computers recognise us as data before it recognises us as human. It traces how the machineโ€™s gaze has quietly become our own, reshaping the beauty standards we hold for ourselves and the selves we choose to present to the world. CONVERGENCE is the visual conduit for that thesis.
