Introducing my first solo film on .Guinness and our "Hell Week" training camp adventure from in Tailem Bend, South Australia, along the stunning Great Ocean Rd, through Melbourne and finishing with a twist at the peak of Falls Creek all in preparation for the imminent Race Across America (RAAM) 2022 in June this year.

As Rupert's Crew Chief for RAAM 2022, we decided to use the fatigue loading from the 24hr event to hit the open road in a solid final block of training.

The story is an insight to the training camp showcasing determination, humanity, friendship, vulnerability, isolation on the road and the 'Power of the Pedal'.

As always; it is not all about the bike, but the message that it can bring.

1000 MILES TO LIGHT

Patrick Farmer had an impression on my younger self when I didn’t understand exactly what that meant. As the last 4 weeks have passed, I have realised in its full potential that it was all for a reason.

In a revised form, Patrick Farmer had a vision to bring 8 of the worlds toughest athletes together to compete against each other in teams raising awareness and funds for youth mental health. Despite all obstacles, he never gave up.

I feel extremely grateful to be part of a project with that hopes to inspire and encourage one another to work together in the toughest times. The film (my first film) is now complete and ready for release to

I have been reminded:
- the power of women uniting is a strength that no words can define
- to hug and love with all your heart
- to put one foot in front of the other
- to look beyond the fascade of one’s smile

I have learned:
- that I am obsessed with people who bury themselves for the greater good of others
- “don’t be sh!t”
- that I don’t do chit chat, I do conversations
- normal people collectively do extraordinary things

For all involved, thank you all for the lessons learned, the time sacrificed away from loved ones and the lifetime experience that encourages me to be a better person
