Bring your furry little one to the photoshoot. 🐾

Honestly, it’s always a good idea.

I may be slightly biased though.

Growing up, my parents never let me have a dog. So after school, I’d often find myself parked outside my neighbour’s front yard—a lovely lady who had one dog and what felt like a hundred cats—just so I could spend time patting them.

Even our family restaurant choices revolved around animals. Whenever my parents asked where I’d like to eat on the weekend, I’d choose the seafood restaurant next to the pet shop. Not because of the food, but because I could sneak next door while waiting and make friends with every puppy, kitten, rabbit, and guinea pig in sight. 😆

So when families ask if they can bring their dog to their maternity session, the answer is almost always an enthusiastic yes.

Because for many families, they’re not “just a pet.” They’re the first baby. The loyal sidekick. The one who’s been there before the nursery was painted, before the tiny clothes were folded, before life was about to change in the most beautiful way.

And years from now, I know these photographs won’t just remind you of your pregnancy. They’ll remind you of this whole chapter of your family’s story—including the four-legged family member who was there for it all.

Mother’s Day may have come and gone, but here—in this little corner of the internet and in my small business—we celebrate mothers every day.

Because motherhood is the thread that binds so many of us together.

So say it out loud with me:

I am an amazing mother.
I am a wonderful mother.

If you think about your children before yourself.
If you lie awake at night researching toddler meals, comparing prams, shopping for winter clothes, mentally keeping track of appointments, lunchboxes, daycare forms, and family logistics.

If your “mum uniform” has become activewear and a messy bun because it’s simply the fastest way to get ready before someone calls out “mamaaaaa”.

If you can’t remember the last time you went to the bathroom alone, drank your coffee hot, or sat down without someone climbing on top of you.

If your mind is constantly carrying invisible tabs no one else sees.
If you’ve ever questioned whether you’re doing enough while loving your children with every fibre of your being.

You are a wonderful mother.

Not because you do it perfectly.
But because you show up, over and over again, with love.

And that kind of love changes generations.

To the mothers in the thick of it right now—

The ones holding tiny hands, wiping faces, reheating the same cup of coffee three times, carrying the mental load no one sees, and still showing up every single day with love.

This season may feel ordinary while you’re in it.
But one day, these will be the moments your children remember most.

The way you comforted them.
The way they reached for you without hesitation.
The way home always felt a little more like home because you were there.

These photographs from my Mother’s Day mini sessions are a gentle celebration of that kind of love.

Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

I’ve been thinking about something for Father’s Day…
Is it way too early ? 😆

There’s something about dads with their little ones—quiet, playful, heart-melting in the most unexpected ways. And honestly, it makes one of the most meaningful gifts.

I’m toying with the idea of a short & sweet session just for fathers and their children… simple, relaxed, and full of connection.

Newborn sessions are my specialty—both in-home newborn sessions and studio newborn sessions. What I bring to every session is a calm, patient approach, which means even if your baby is unsettled or fussy, we can still create beautiful, natural images without stress. You don’t need a “perfect” baby—just a little trust in the process.

Those early days pass quickly, but they’re filled with the tiniest, most meaningful details—the newborn hunch, soft lanugo, little chin dimples, and that roundness and fragility unique to this stage. Alongside that, I focus on the new rhythm within your family—the connection, the in-between moments, and the quiet ways everything begins to shift.

These are the things I believe are worth holding onto. Not just how your baby looked, but how it all felt.

These images were captured during a workshop with a few years ago, where I first learnt newborn posing techniques. Since then, I’ve continued to refine my approach—capturing many families through Sydney newborn photography sessions, both at home and in my natural light studio.

If you’re expecting and looking for a newborn photographer in Sydney, I’d love to create something meaningful for your family.

Baby turning one? It’s more than a milestone—it’s a celebration of a whole year of growth, change, and becoming… for both baby and you.

For Kayla’s first birthday photoshoot, we kept it meaningful and personal. A simple cake smash in the studio, followed by Zhua Zhou—a beautiful Chinese tradition where little ones choose objects that symbolise their future path and personality. A moment filled with curiosity, culture, and so much heart.

These are the kinds of celebrations that deserve to be remembered—not just how it looked, but how it felt.

If your baby is turning one and you’ve been thinking about a first birthday photoshoot, cake smash session, or family photography in Sydney, I’d love to create something personal for you.

You don’t need a special occasion to have your family photographed.

For this in-home family session in Sydney, the intention was simply to remember their weekends as they are—making bread together, coffee brewing in the kitchen, and slow snuggles before the day begins.

As a mum of two myself, I understand how quickly these seasons move. The routines that feel so ordinary now are often the ones we long for later.

So while I documented their morning, I was also paying attention to the in-between.
The youngest’s unsteady first steps, the quiet rhythm between the sisters, a well-loved chair passed through generations, and the small, instinctive ways a child reaches for her mum.

This is what in-home storytelling family photography means to me.

These images aren’t just candid or purely documentary. They’re intentionally created around your family—blending real moments with gentle guidance, so what you receive feels both honest and considered.

If you’ve been wanting family photos at home that feel natural, personal, and true to your season, I’d love to create something with you.

Proof that your session can feel deeply personal—without needing a Pinterest board.

This maternity session took place in my Eastwood studio here in Sydney. My client came to me with a simple intention: something full of love and fun, yet still elegant and romantic.

No references. Just trust.

Getting to know you is an important part of my process. I don’t believe in simply having you step into the studio and “get photos taken.” It should never feel transactional. Instead, I take what you share—your energy, your story, the little things you love—and gently shape a vision around it.

For this session, I drew from their cheerful nature, their connection, and the softness of this season. Even within the same studio space, this is how your images become your own—never repeated, never “same same,” but a reflection of you.

If you’re expecting and would love to document this season in a way that feels effortless, warm, and true, I would love to hold that space for you. You simply arrive—I’ll take care of the rest.
