While I never rant on social media (and hate using the platforms to do so), something needs to be said...

They say 'Loneliness is not caused by others, it is when your mind tells you that you that no one cares'... while that might be true for others, that is not true for me.

I am so sick and tired of seeing my accomplishments being ignored by my place of work, while everyone else's are being screamed at the rooftops...

2017: getting engaged...
2018: earning my black belt...
2019: getting married....
2020: having Amelia...
2021: earning my 10 year badge...

5 years... half of my tenure and nothing said at all, unless it was by me or as a unnotable side comment. Sad... isn't it?

In the end though, I would rather walk and fight alone, than ending up with a massive group of people that don't value me...

Good thing I have close friends, family, my hubby, my daughter, my black belt and sh*tload of swords, isn't it? Lol.

This year... *sigh*... has been an absolute mess! However, with these restrictions, makes us REALLY miss and truly appreciate our friends and family presence - whether digitally, in person or spiritually (for those who have passed).

So as hard as this time has been, THIS is where we should truly be thankful (as limited as it is) of those close to us.

Presents are nice, but presence is better x
