ETHGlobal NEW YORK 2026!🏀🗽🏟️
WHAT. A. WEEK.
New York City does not do anything quietly.
We just got back from ETHGlobal NYC 2026, and between the hackathon, the Knicks winning the NBA Championship and the World Cup taking over every screen in Manhattan, the city had a LOT going on. That energy bled into everything we shot, and the final result shows it!
For anyone new here, ETHGlobal runs the biggest Ethereum hackathon events in the world. Devs get 3 days to build a project and compete for $200k+ in prizes per event. There’s real stakes, real pressure and real money on the line!!
On the surface, filming a hackathon sounds like a strange brief. People staring at laptops for 72 hours isn’t exactly entertaining. What we’ve learned to chase is everything happening UNDERNEATH that.
That looks like 3am pivots, 11pm caffeine hits, rage quits, recoveries, and the moment a team ships something and genuinely can’t believe it worked, and this time, all of it set against a city that was simultaneously LOSING IT’S MIND over the Knicks winning the NBA for the first time in 53 years.
Part of our scope with ETHGlobal is delivering a one-minute wrap-up video played at the closing ceremony on the final day of the event. Which means we’re also operating under hackathon conditions alongside every developer in the room, building something with the same deadline breathing down our necks. The pressure is mutual, and we think it shows in the work.
NYC raised the bar. Watch the cut and let us know what you think.
