I have you princess.
You’re safe.

Some days will be hard.
For me.
For you.
But everyday will be beautiful.

Everyday you will grow into the most beautiful soul.
And everyday I will grow in the best version of myself.
We will learn. We will cry. We will hug.
And most importantly we will fly.

We will jump over obstacles we never thought possible.

You will learn how to eat.
I will learn how to protect.
You will learn how to walk.
I will learn how to hold you over my shoulders across the steepest mountain.
You will learn to laugh and play and smile and clap.
I will learn how to watch you grow up and move on and live the life you were taught to live.

My job is to teach you everything you need to live the most beautiful authentic life you can.
Your job is to BE that most beautiful authentic girl you can be.

Listen to nothing but your heart.
And let’s hope your heart is filled with such love that you will always know your safe.

Becoming a mother is not hard.
Becoming a mother is not easy.
Becoming a mother is like moving your whole life from Australia to Italy.

You’ve only ever heard Australians talk about their move —
the new culture, the unfamiliar people, the public transport systems.
You trust their stories because they’re the only ones you’ve ever known.

Then you move.
Or in my case — you become a mom.

And suddenly, none of what they said feels true.
It’s not just a few new systems.
It’s not just “a change.”

It’s a complete upheaval.
You’re in a different world, speaking a language you don’t yet understand.
And the person you were?
She doesn’t live here anymore.

You become someone new.
Someone challenged. Stretched. Rebuilt.
Someone you’ve never met before.

Then one day,
you pause.
You catch your breath.
You close your eyes and realize—

This new world?
It’s not so different.
The streets are still yours.
But now you walk them holding the hand of everything that matters.

They become your reason, your rhythm, your whole world.

Becoming a mother was one of the hardest journeys I’ve ever walked.
But it is — without question — the most rewarding.

It’s new. It’s daunting.
You don’t know anything until you’re in it.
But once you are…
you can’t imagine ever living without it.

Becoming a mother was so new and daunting for me that I didn’t even book a newborn session.
It felt too overwhelming, too much to take on in that fragile moment in time.
But now that I understand what I needed to learn about becoming a mom —
oh, how I wish I had booked that session for my princess.
Because they really do grow up fast.

And now — I know how I would’ve wanted to be treated in those early, tender days.
So I bring that with me to every session.
Whether it’s your first baby or your tenth — I treat every parent like they deserve the world.
