After what seems like an eternity of La Niña days, it was great to get back out for some imaging last night.

The conditions were stellar, and the opportunity to try 4hrs of narrowband acquisition for the first time on the ASI 2400mm pro was a real treat. I'll certainly be looking forward to more!

This special 6hr long star trail was photographed over a remote inland Australian lake as the night blended into the dawn.

Taken on 26th January 2016 with a Nikon D810 and Zeiss 15mm Distagon using a Nikon intervalometer.
