Well, that was one way to kick-start my spring wedding season.

Emma + Will at Nutting Hill Luxury Wedding Venue and what a day it was.

I feel pretty damn lucky with the couples who find their way to me. I guess they see the real and genuine in my work, the fun and all those little in-between moments, and want a slice of that for themselves. And in return, that’s exactly what they give me — the freedom to capture their day exactly as it felt.

These two were extra special. I first met Emma + Will about four years ago when I photographed Em’s sister’s wedding, so walking back into this beautiful family and seeing so many familiar faces again was pretty bloody special.

And this wedding? All kinds of magic.

Big hugs. Big tears. So many laughs. So much joy. And above all else… FUN.

Nothing forced, nothing that wasn’t them. Just a genuinely beautiful day with good people.

Exactly the kind of wedding I love to photograph and one hell of a way to start the season.

Your wedding isn’t a show.

It’s not a performance for Pinterest.
It’s not about perfectly timed moments or ticking off a run sheet.

It’s about standing in front of your favourite person, with all your people there… and actually feeling it.

Laughing too loud.
Crying when you didn’t expect to.
Hugging your nan for a little longer.
Letting the day unfold instead of controlling every second of it.

And honestly… kids at weddings? Always a yes from me 🤍

Nothing cuts through the nerves faster than a kid being a kid.
They bring the energy back, get the dance floor started, and remind everyone what the day is really about — joy, connection, family.

At the end of the day, it’s always your choice.
Your day, your rules.

But I’ll always sit in the “kids are part of the story” camp.

And for the love of god — if you’re choosing not to have kids there, that’s totally fine…
but please don’t dress it up as “the parents will have more fun without them.”

Some of us genuinely love doing life with our kids.
Those big moments? They’re exactly where we want them.

What a dream these two were 🤍

The kind of vendor lineup that just works and a beautifully crafted timeline that allowed them to actually be present — not rushed, not pulled in every direction.

With 300mm of rain predicted over the weekend it could have been stressful. But here’s the thing… even if the rain had stayed, this day still would’ve been perfect.

Because for these two, the most important part wasn’t the weather — it was getting married and being surrounded by their people. And that was always going to happen.
