Today was a rough one with Sis.
Every other week she meets us down the road from her place and we drive her into the city for her appointment. Today she wasn't doing so well, and as the day went on she deteriorated to the point where she wasn't well enough to get herself home.
So we took her, and her car, back home before we started the drive back to ours.
Nothing prepares a mumma heart for having to leave your kid behind when they're sick.
You can know they're home, they're safe, and they're where they need to be… but every fibre in you still wants to stay. To make sure they're okay. To be there. To somehow make it all better.
And then there's little Ivy girl, who gets lugged around for appointments, long drives and all the s**t in between because that's just what our family looks like right now.
It's not always easy. Some days are really fu***ng hard.
But we get everyone where they need to be, we look after each other as best we can, and we keep going.
That's family, I suppose. ❤️
