A little bout my Photographic Journey. I was gifted a Polaroid camera as a child; which ignited my passion for photography. The simplicity of capturing moments instantly resonated and I found joy in documenting the world around me. Each click of the shutter became a moment frozen in time, creating a visual diary of my life experiences and emotions. Through the lens of my camera, I discovered a new way of seeing the beauty in everyday life, making me cherish each captured memory even more. I have always felt a deep connection to the natural world. Growing up camping on the rugged coastlines of the mid-north coast, I developed a profound appreciation for the beauty and power of the land and sea. Armed with my camera I set out to capture the essence of these stunning landscapes and seascapes. Through my lens, I seek to convey the raw emotion and tranquillity that can be found in nature's untouched spaces. With each photograph, I hope viewers can immerse themselves in the vastness and serenity of the outdoors, encouraging them to pause, reflect, and appreciate the wonders that surround us. I currently reside in an ideal location for capturing a variety of landscapes and natural beauty with the combination of the rural land I reside on and the nearby, riverside town, beachside locations, and proximity to a national park provides a diverse range of settings to explore and capture through my lens. The opportunity to immerse myself in different environments all within a short distance is inspiring for my photography pursuits. The Myall Lakes National Park is a treasured locale for me, I have been weaving my own memories into its tapestry since childhood, I have a deep connection to the enduring power of this amazing natural environment after spending my life exploring it’s unsurpassed beauty. Ancient paperbark trees, untouched sand dunes, pristine beaches, mangrove lined river and lake areas full of abundant bird and marine life make for one of the most serene natural environments on our planet. My journey as a landscape and seascape photographer is an unwavering passion for preserving the fleeting moments of beauty that nature offers. I believe that photography is a powerful medium that allows us to appreciate the beauty of our planet. The colours, textures, light, darkness, and all the elements Mother Earth offers are a constant source of inspiration. Being on the beach, feeling the sand between our toes, witnessing the sun rising as the beginning of a new day are moments that help to remind us of the blessings each day brings. Capturing the world through photography is not just a passion for me, but a gift that allows me to share the wonders I see with others. I hope that my imagery ignites the passion in others to start on their own photographic journey.

Photography for me is all about telling a story, capturing the essence of a scene, and preserving the mood and magic of the moment. My focus is to create images that speak volumes, that transport you back to that exact instant in time. Through my lens, I aim to encapsulate the beauty and emotion of every unique moment, crafting visual narratives that will be cherished for a lifetime. I feel a deep connection with my images, having the ability to remember the emotions tied to each scene captured, is truly special. My passion for photography goes beyond just a hobby; it's ingrained in the fabric of my being, Photography has shaped my life's purpose, I Embrace this profound relationship I have have with this craft, it is a powerful force that drives creativity and fuels my artistic journey.

Thank you for expressing an interest in my photography. I hope others find joy in my photography. It's always rewarding to know that my work resonates with people and brings them happiness.

Hi , Hope your week has gone well and you are ready for a great weekend. Last weekend I spent 3 days in Port Macquarie out Whale watching - was a fabulous weather but a little cold out on the ocean. We saw so many Whales and other marine life, it's such a wonderful experience and the team Port Jet Cruise Adventures are so great if you visit the area I recommend going on one of their tours.

On Monday morning we witnessed a lot of Gannets diving into the ocean, they are just amazing to watch! Gannets Dive Up to 100 km/h from 10 to 30 meters They tuck their wings back against their bodies right before hitting the water to form a sharp, arrow-like shape. Special air sacs under their skin in the face and chest act like a cushion to absorb the heavy shock of hitting the water.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Hi everyone, hope your week and weekend has gone well. I have spend a few days going through some of my archives, This image was taken back in 2019 when I visited New Zealand's South Island in Winter. Was such a magical experience, so much beautiful scenery to admire and capture.

I love snow capped mountains, and it was just magic in the mornings watching the light hit the peaks!

Have a fabulous afternoon everyone. Cheers Lou xo

Hi everyone, hope your day is going well! This shot was taken a couple of days ago in the later afternoon light, the sun had come out from behind rain clouds and this beautiful blue-faced honeyeater was enjoying the sunshine.

You will notice my business name has changed, it was time for a revamp of my page, I am hoping to post a lot more often and really get back into my photography - had a lot going on in life so it's taken a bit of a back burner lately.

I hope you all have a wonderful afternoon. Cheers Lou.

Yesterday afternoon I ventured out to capture the full moon rising, unfortunately it was under cloud cover for quite some time, but I did manage to capture this beautiful sunset. I love my local beach "Bennett's Beach" it's always so sublime! The ocean was so clear despite the beach being covered in w**d from the recent swell. Hope you all have a lovely evening! Cheers Lou x
