The first boy I ever met from the internet, not like that, ew, you’ve been my brother the past 20 years and you made me feel so safe. I’d come home to our Waverley street place after you had worked all night packing shelves to see 30 freshly drawn chrysanthemums you had blue tacked on the wall, surviving off mie goreng, frozen veg and a 6 pack of new , your work ethic earnt your spot in every studio you dedicated yourself to. I watched you climb to the tallest peak of that mountain, only for it to start crumbling down almost immediately, I’m mad at a lot of things. Life hey? C**t of a thing some days…

Reading everyone’s stories about you makes me smile so big and then get real fu***ng sad, I’m sorry I didn’t reply and that I let the silence linger.. I didn’t know how to fix everything but it seems obvious now that you didn’t need me to, I’m sorry I ghosted you, now you can ghost me 🫠

I hope you’re shredding or playing Doom with Umlaut by your side in whatever universe/frequency you now reside in 🖤

When I moved out of home at 16 became the comfort show I put on, a graduation from Monty Python that my mum shared with my sister and I growing up.
I found so much peace in .mccloud1 spicy British analogies, a word salad that would uplift or eviscerate the enthusiastic dreamer, though even when Kev called it from the beginning , he would give them their flowers for having the kahonies to give it a red hot go.

I relate to that feeling more than ever at this point in my life, though I haven’t built a house worthy of a worldwide stage.. I’ve tried my best to build a life that meant something.. I feel I’m at the junction of my life that is the end of episode 1, where Kev visits and smuggly looks back and remarks “really? 😏” whilst I detail what I’ve “failed” at building.

Forever the pessimistic optimist, he said something tonight that gave me hope for a future, one where it’s a celebration of the landscape around you. To not discount the walls that have fallen down, but to see the beauty in having tried to build them.
