I was out walking, the wind was icy, it was raining, but as I watched the autumn leaves, freshly washed by the rain fall around me, I just had to stop briefly to record the beautiful vibrant colours and the (almost metallic like) hues. Toowoomba in autumn is always spectacular, and soon the colours will fade and the trees will be left bare.

I was fascinated by the determination of this noisy miner (Manorina melanocephala). It was after a worm or grub, check out the eyes, focusing so hard, they were almost crossing, and after all that concentration and hard work, it was to no avail, whatever was there escaped to live another day.

Trying to catch up with my posts. These images were taken at Queens Park Botannical Gardens, Toowoomba. Had so much fun. The beehive in the tree is still there, the hive has been there for years. I felt these eyes watching me, and there high up in the palm tree was two corellas watching everything below. I've seen the resident kookaburras up there too.

This is one of my entries for the Digital section of the 2025 Ekka Photography competition, it was taken on location at Wellington Point Beach Reserve, Queensland. Oh, and by the way, my beautiful model was make up free and just to be clear, this shot was taken on location in available light and I did not and do not use AI and I never have used AI in my photos.

Though my background is documentary, I also love to dabble in some creative adjustments at times to accentuate the beaut...

Though my background is documentary, I also love to dabble in some creative adjustments at times to accentuate the beauty of the natural world around me. I absolutely love the sparkles on the water that abound at times and on this morning I noticed a woman sitting alone on a bench, and this is the image I ended up.
