This was August 🤎

A month that held so much.

✨ We brought the Belly, Birth & Beyond Gippsland Expo to life after 10 months of planning.
🤎 We welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Daisie, into our family.
📸 I practised what I preach and made sure we captured this season of our own family professionally - because these moments really do go by far too quickly.
✨ And while I’m soaking up maternity leave, so many beautiful bookings have continued to come through.

August was busy, emotional, somewhat exhausting, absolutely beautiful and completely unforgettable.

Feeling incredibly grateful for this life, for the incredible support around me, and for every single family who continues to trust me to capture their memories - even while I’m taking a little time to soak up this newborn bubble🤎

There’s something so special about being trusted with someone’s tiniest little person 🤎

After 13 years of photographing newborns, one thing I’ve learnt is that there is no “right” way for a newborn session to go.

Your baby doesn’t need to sleep the whole time.
They don’t need to settle straight away.
And they certainly don’t need to fit into a particular pose or schedule.

We slow things down. We follow their cues.
We stop for feeds, cuddles, nappy changes and all the little moments in between.

If your baby needs to be in your arms, that’s where they’ll stay. If they need a little more time to settle, we give them that time.

Because for me, a beautiful newborn session isn’t about rushing to capture every pose…

It’s about creating a calm, relaxed experience where you can simply soak up your baby 🤎

And I promise, those little moments of connection are often my favourites to photograph.
