SHEPHERDS ROADTRIP šŸš—šŸ’Ø
The quickest holiday ever šŸ˜‚
Yes, we left.
Yes, it was technically a holiday.
No, it absolutely was not long enough.
We’re both sole traders, so if we dont work we dont get paid. it kinda sucks big.
So naturally, we’re home now and straight back into work because apparently relaxing for more than 72 hours is not in the job description.
BUT… it was lovely.
We are feeling refreshed, very grateful, and ridiculously lucky to have had family willing to put 9 of us up for the last few days.
Nine people just in our fambam.
Under one roof.
6 kids. 3 adults.
Honestly, I don’t know whether to thank them or have them assessed.
but thank you to the Tumbi shepherds for hosting our circus xx
And now it’s back to it, and honestly, I’m not even mad about it.
So yep… Shepherds Roadtrip is officially over.
Back to the washing, back to the laptop, back to the camera and back to the chaos.
Wouldn’t have it any other way. ā¤ļøšŸ“ø

You may have noticed another face popping up at some of my sessions lately… so I thought it was probably time I actually introduced her. šŸ˜‚
This is Allisa. ā¤ļø
Allisa has been working alongside me for a little while now and I guess you could say I’ve been doing a little bit of mentoring along the way, which has honestly been such an amazing experience for both of us.
I’ve been shooting completely solo for about five years now, so having someone beside me to bounce ideas off, be creative with and just enjoy a session with has been really lovely.
When I found out Allisa had a love for photography too, I was basically like, girl meet me at sunset!
And honestly, I’ve loved watching her confidence grow along the way. Watching her find her own eye, get more comfortable with her camera and just start believing in what she can create has been so special.
And now she’s gone and made herself a little photography page of her own, which is VERY exciting.
It’s called Where We Were Photography.
She’ll be sharing more of her work over the next couple of months and eventually opening up her own books, so if you could head over and give her page a little like/follow, I know she’d absolutely love it.
And if you’ve got a session booked with me, don’t be surprised if she makes an appearance. She’s officially part of the chaos now. šŸ˜‚ā¤ļø
I’m really excited for her, and I genuinely cannot wait to see where Where We Were goes. ā¤ļø

Fresh 48 this morning actually had me all emotional. 🄹
I photograph enough maternity sessions that I’m often lucky enough to be invited back for the Fresh 48, and I genuinely love it every single time.
But this little guy this morning… nothing could have prepared me for it.
You know when you just meet people and you instantly think, yep, these are just really good people?
Yeah. I met them.
And they have gone and birthed the most precious little human.
To see these two with their little man after everything that’s brought them to this point just made my heart so full. The way they are completely smitten with him, absolutely in love with their little guy… it’s the kind of thing I take home with me.
It is always such a privilege to photograph someone’s story, but being invited back into such a raw, intimate and vulnerable little window of their lives is something I will never take for granted.
And this morning was one I’ll remember for a long time. šŸ¤

I feel a bit… I don’t even know.

I’m having one of those days where I just don’t want to do anything. Like, at all.

I can’t even find my AirPods, otherwise I’d shove them in my ears and go absolutely fu***ng hell for leather.

Instead, I’ve spent the morning folding washing, washing more washing that I swear I already washed, and cleaning my house at the rate of a fu***ng turtle because I just… can’t be bothered.

I feel like I was ON FIRE yesterday and today I am completely burnt out. 🫠

I do have a doctor’s appointment I need to get my s**t together for, so I’ll drag myself together very shortly and head to that.

And if you’re waiting to hear back from me, I’m sorry. ā¤ļø
I cannot stress enough though, you can book directly through my booking link, and all of my currently available dates are there.

If you’re not sure what to book, send me a message and I WILL get back to you… I just genuinely cannot tell you when because I don’t even know where to start right now. šŸ˜‚

Anyway.

I’m going to shut up, finish cleaning this fu***ng house, get some editing done and attempt to humanise myself again.

Tomorrow I’ll probably be back on fire.. well I hope soo

How do I find people that want MORE sessions like this. 😭

Like… this is my fu***ng favourite kind of session.

Just movement. Just love. Just two people completely caught up in each other and not giving a s**t about anything else for a minute.

It was beautiful, it was real & it was so fun because they didn’t have to act they just got to be them.

Give me all of that.

This is the kind of s**t I want to photographšŸ¤Ž
