When Life Gives You Lemons

I took some other shots for this idea that did not feature me, but when I showed my family they all laughed as soon as I got to this one - so what other choice did I have given the theme for this week's challenge. I don't love being in front of the camera and so I do not love this photo, but this challenge is about pushing ourselves to try new things and this is very far out of my comfort zone.

Collins Park After Dark

I drove past this spot with my daughter one evening and remarked that I would like to capture it at night, and this week gave me the perfect opportunity. I was hoping there would be some fog around to give the shot a little atmosphere, but unfortunately the elements did not deliver.

Spaces like parks at night time always give the feeling of liminal space, which is why I was hoping for some fog. When I first took this I thought it was a bit m'eh, but I worked with it and the result is something that I am quite pleased with.
