🐎2025 Melbourne Cup Tour🐎

Walcha Parade and Community Afternoon

Definitely one to remember, from Bernie Brady proudly carrying the Australian Flag, Norm Bazeley walking ‘Midnight Pearl’ the Dam of last years Melbourne cup winner “knights choice”, the beautiful huntervalleyclassiccarriages with special guest Sheila Laxon - Trainer of Knights Choice holding the amazing Lexus Melbourne Cup and Di Bazeley alongside waving to the amazing turn up of people lining the streets to see these special moments.
The Walcha Polocrosse Club , Walcha Pony club and Campdrafters were following all the beautiful school kids that proudly marched through the streets of Walcha with their fascinator’s and racing silks, they looked amazing.

We then heard from Victoria Racing Representative Jo at the McHattan Park and she shared some history of the cup and explaining that it takes over 250 hours to make the famous Lexus Melbourne Cup!!

Members of the Public had the rare opportunity to get a photo with the Cup and some were even lucky enough to hold it!

Fridays events will be remembered for years to come in Walcha History.

What a great weekend at the Walcha Antique Machinery and Truck Show. You put on an awesome parade for the town to see!
