Travis Thomas Photography Lighting comes courtesy of whatever is available; sun, sky, tungsten and neon – photographers have access to it all.

As a self taught photographer, my studio is the world outside my door and the only equipment required is a camera and a willingness to look for new perspectives. We are not restricted by subject or location, only by an obligation to record the world we see with honesty and compassion. More than just exotic locations and wild adventures, photography is about seeing our surroundings with fresh eyes and childlike enthusiasm.

I captured this long exposure last Wednesday evening just after the sun had set. The sunset was spectacular! Those photos to follow!
This was the night before the Moon, Venus and Jupiter aligned. Capturing a long exposure in the dark with an unfamiliar camera was a little tricky, but I got there in the end. I couldn't be happier with the end result!
The colours of the sky are just unreal!

This is my first post in over 2 months. I was enjoying life in South America. Unfortunately while I was there my backpack along with a friend's were stolen, my camera was in my backpack. This happened early on our trip in Cusco. Despite this happening we absolutely enjoyed Cusco and would go back. I took my camera to capture our journey and the amazing people we met along the way. Especially Machu Picchu and Iguazu Falls.
Luckily .thomas88 and .thomas87 are kind and allowed me to borrow their camera. Now I'm learning how to use a Canon 😂 thank you!!!!
