This beautiful family came over for a holiday in Melbourne so we organised their maternity session around the trip. With twins on the way, they weren’t sure when they’d get another chance to take some quiet quality family time away from normal life.

Goodness me I’m so glad we were able to document this time.
This shower series is just a snippet of the gorgeous moments we were able to document.

Little Bonnie was an absolute superstar and loved wandering around collecting the eggs, picking fresh herbs from the garden, cuddling, reading books, showering with mumma and then having some dinner by the fire outside.

Goodness gracious I adore my job 🥰

The Swincer Family ✨
We had the perfect spring evening exploring this beautiful beach on the peninsula together. I couldn’t believe how much the kids have grown after our session about 4 years ago 😱 time really does zoom past hey! We found caves, explored the rocks, climbed the cliffs and ran around in the sand. It was a blast!

The birth of Fletcher ✨

It was the evening before that I heard things were beginning. Some strong tightenings were happening and Anita’s waters had already broken so we all knew it was a go.

I arrived at about 3am and Anita was just about ready to jump into the pool. Her surges were strong and testing but she was handling them so well by going within herself and with the unwavering support of her hubby, Brent.

Their son was in bed but they knew they wanted to wake him once baby was almost earth-side so he could also witness the incredible miracle of birth.

The contractions became stronger, louder and then the pressure.
Liam was woken up and he was so sweet with Anita as she rode the waves.

Anita and Brent continued to gently affirm to Liam that the sound mum was making during the contractions was a good thing and that everything was okay, that it was a good thing. He understood but none-the-less wanted his noise cancelling headphones which I thought was just adorable 🙊

A few more pushes late and Fletchers head was born. Anita focused on her breathing and patiently waited for the next surge. She didn’t force anything to happen and within a couple more minutes Fletcher was born.

He was covered in vernix and was a very peaceful, quiet baby. The skin to skin was slow and relaxed and the family connected as they realised their baby was finally here.

Thank you Anita & Brent for having me in your birth space to witness and document your birth for you. I loved every second and am so happy these photos will be forever yours 🫶🏼

Cuddles, kisses, giggles and tickles. This session encompassed such joy, fun and adventure. After meeting the girls for the first time last year, it was so nice to see them again and have the whole family together for another session before they become a family of 5 🙊✨

7 months of Augie ✨

Celebrating this absolutely adorable age with an in home motherhood session with Augie and Meghan was just a dream!

The joy that it is to be a mother, and the joy that this age is, Meghan realised that Augie wasn’t going to be this little for much longer.

The other week I got to meet beautiful baby Hartlen, after photographing his sister Luna about 2 years ago!

The eldest, Autumn greeted me at the door with a huge smile and the biggest cuddle ever 😍 Safe to say that was the cutest way I’ve ever been greeted to a newborn session 🥹

Then throughout the shoot she gave me continuous cuddles which just absolutely made my day.

This is the bond I get build with the kids I photograph.

The first time I met Autumn and her parents was when Luna was in mums belly, then Luna’s newborn shoot and now Hartlens newborn shoot, so she’s known me for years now.
And that just warms my heart so much ✨

Steffensen Family ✨ This was our third session together. The first time was with Everly in 2021, then 2022 they welcomed baby Asher, and now I get to document them as they grow and it’s just the special to watch 🤍
Thanks so much to everybody who has trusted me with the photos they’re going to look at for the rest of their lives 😱 it blows my mind and I’ll always be so grateful that this is what I get to do for people xx

Fresh baby Frankie ✨

Here’s a little note to wear your favourite textured fabrics for your session. They photograph SO well, and make sure you always pick clothes you feel yourself in 🙌🏼

It’s easy to overanalyse what you wear for your photos. I love to think about myself looking at my photos in 10 years. Would I be distracted by what I chose to wear, or did I pick clothes that are me, are timeless and don’t distract too much from what’s most important, my family 🙃
