Found in the very early and cold hours of a Monday morning in a remote and peculiar location, a fellow astrophotographer is found seeking out a new way of capturing the centrepiece of our winter sky - the Milkyway. In this instance, they've decided on framing it above a remote dirt road surrounded by farming land. While great commitment goes into getting a new and ever-fascinating photo of the night sky above a vast array of possible foregrounds, astrophotographers are usually rather stoked to see just how amazing their captures can turn out. This astrophotographer, like many I've spotted, was eagerly busy taking their long-awaited shot - feeling both excited and a little nervous that it mightn't turn out. I, however, was simply pleased this astrophotographer happened to stand perfectly still for long enough so I could capture this candid moment... Well, perhaps some cooperation took place π
In all honesty, shooting such an amazing sky with fellow astrophotographers really does make the night even more fantastic for me. All astrophotographers I've shot with have been such great people. So here's to you all; the people who can be found in bizarre locations, enduring freezing temperatures at hours of the night most others are comfortably asleep - all while trying to showcase just how exceedingly stunning our world is after dark. You are all majestic people!
