My name is Jodie and I truly feel like I’m the luckiest girl in the world. I’m married to a darling fella and i’m mum to three very gorgeous RAD kids. Our little family is all about adventuring, traveling and making memories, and we’re so fortunate to be able to do so. I think that’s why i’m so passionate about capturing that for other families. I somehow stumbled into my dream “job” (a little sid

estep from graphic design to photography), and I pinch myself daily that people actually pay me to do something that I love so much. I don't do posed, I like to keep it natural and candid. I'm choosing to ignore my large editing pile and instead take adavantage of some good weather and free time this coming weekend.

Baby C at home.

I finally made the leap to close the studio this year. The main reason being, I prefer to capture babies in their own comfy, lovely habitat or families in the gorgeous outdoors.

And I have absolutely no regrets. Babies are always more relaxed at home, toddlers get such a kick out of showing off their world and I find it to be an overall more chilled, bespoke and gorgeous experience.

Case in point... Baby C. Thankyou for inviting me into your divine newborn bubble guys. What a treat!

Hands up if your dog's favourite holiday destination is Doggy Daycare Warrnambool? 🤚🤚🤚 Our Edie dog FROTHS for this place.

How lucky are we that some of our favourite people, we've only just met in the past few years? Not only do these guys have the COOLEST business going around, but they're genuinely some of the best humans. And I won't even start on how special their little J-man is.

And you won't hear this from her, but Laura is actually one of the most talented, self-motivated, handy go-getters i've ever met. She's now added chook-breeder to the long list of hats she wears! (Greenwich Park Poultry 😉)

So of course i'll take any excuse to hang out with them in their little slice of aussie paradise with all the cats, chooks and pups...
(And I only mentioned how stunning the light was about 295 times)

I can't remember ever leaving a session dissapointed.
Until my recent session with these guys...

Gorgeous family. Ridiculously stunning setting.
The perfect sunset setup potential...

And it rained. Not dramatic stormy rain either.
Just dark. Grey. Drizzle. Boo.

They were such superstars and we carried on regardless, but I was so gutted at what could have been if i'd just postponed it.

So we did a very quick take two a few weeks later.
And it certainly didn't disappoint.

Most of these shots are from round 2, as you can probably tell.
We got that sunset!

Always a pleasure to hang with the fabulous O'Keefe's. They have a knack for delivering some of my all-time favourite shots every time.

Another beautiful return family. Another beautiful baby. Another beautiful home. And once again, we only used a tiny corner of the house!

In case you need any reassurance if you don't feel your house is 'photo-worthy'... we did most of Miss L's half an hour sesh on one blanket, in one corner of the lounge.

TOO EASY. SO GORGOUS.
And YES, halfa sessions can be for a newborns at home too.
How good's that?!

PS how incredible are the EYES on this family?! (So great to see you again gang!!)
PPS... 2 posts in a week, lookout!!

'Extended families' or 'Generational sessions'?
Help, need a catchier name to describe my FAVOURITE photoshoot these days, which is lucky as they may just be my most popular booking too ('mum's 60/70th is usually the reason, fyi ;) )

This session a few months ago was on a dark, drizzly morning, not that you'd know it. This gorgeous gang smashed it out of the park, despite a quick spell under the brollies.

Psst... In case you haven't realised the hack yet... You don't just get the big group shots in these sessions, you get all the combos you could want plus each fam basically gets their own little mini. Good value if you're happy to split the sesh 😉😉

The session posting catchup aspirations continue (slowly!). I'm averaging one a week at this rate, lol. Thankfully i'm much better at taking photos than posting to socials, so never fear, your big beautiful family will be in good hands!
