Today was an interesting day with some big storms around on the Darling Downs and in SEQ. I got onto an isolated cell that had lots of rotation near Pittsworth QLD during the afternoon.

I managed to get out for a chase on the Western Darling Downs yesterday afternoon and while storms did struggle a bit out there, they did deliver some nice rainfall in areas that really need it. I tracked a storm from west of Moonie to The Gums and then on to Condamine that tried hard but wouldn’t go next level. A couple of storms in the eastern Downs appeared to go better than the ones further west. More storms and rain in the forecast this weekend so keep an eye on the radar.

Mother nature really put on a show last night with some incredible storms in Northern NSW and Southern QLD. These shots taken between Yelarbon and Inglewood QLD.
