To conclude a swing dance-tastic 2018, OceanStudiosSA has finally made their long-time dream come true during their last social dance of the year.
Joris and Krista have hosted a 15 head Big Band for the first time, with the following mission: to preserve, nurture and promote jazz music and its authentic dances which their dance studio is currently focused on offering to dance lovers.
A tradition which still lives on in young swing dance communities all around the globe. They were longing to recreate the atmosphere of dance parties which they have enjoyed participating in whilst attending swing dance camps in Europe and Australia.
A sold-out venue with a dance eager crowd saw the talented musicians of local big band BluHyp capable of getting the dancers up jumping on the floor: simply beyond magical and purely organic. Social dancing got a point and a purpose again that night.
Everyone had an absolutely fantastic time, and we want to THANK every person who came along, volunteered to help out, promoted our event etc: without each of you this evening would not have been able to turn out to become successful in every way. Rest assured, we shall attempt to do this all again in 2019!
