Many of you have visited the Wee Waa Community Arts & Cultural Centre over the years for your Christmas photos.
It’s such a special space that allows me to set up for weeks at a time, gives Santa a cool air-conditioned room to meet the kids, and provides a quiet and welcoming place for families to come together for photos. I’ve also been lucky enough to display my work here during community events.
Spaces like the Arts Centre are incredibly important for creative people in small communities like ours. They give artists, photographers, and makers a place to create, share and bring people together.
Unfortunately the grants needed to keep the centre operating weren’t secured this year, so now it’s up to the community to help keep the doors open.
If you’ve ever enjoyed the space, attended an event, or taken part in Christmas photos there, please consider supporting them if you can. These places are truly the heart of small towns like Wee Waa. 🤍
