MYTH: “Professional photography is too expensive.”

I get it, honestly. It can feel like a lot of money for “just photos”.

It’s about freezing a season of your life that you’ll never get back. The tiny details of your baby, the way your toddler reaches for your hand, the bump you carried, the way your family looked right now.

You’re not just paying for the hour you spend in front of my camera. You’re investing in the experience, the expertise, the editing, the equipment, the time spent preparing and creating your gallery and most importantly, photographs that become part of your family’s story.

Because one day, those “expensive photos” might be some of the most priceless things you own 🤎

Let’s be honest… I’m really struggling with accepting that she’s not going to be my only baby forever.

I know she’s going to absolutely flourish as a big sister, and I cannot wait to watch her love, protect and grow alongside her little sister.

But there’s a part of me that’s quietly grieving our little life of two.

For so long, it’s just been me and her. My first baby, my little sidekick, my whole world. And while none of that will ever change, I know our dynamic will. There will be another little person who needs her mummy, and that thought makes my heart ache a little.

I’m so excited for everything that’s coming, but saying goodbye to our chapter of “just us” is harder than I thought it would be.

She’ll always be my first baby. The one who made me a mum.

Soaking up these last few months of our little world of two, just a little extra. 🥹

There’s something so special about knowing I get to enter the newborn phase all over again. 🤍

I’ve been thinking about those tiny newborn days with my girl so much lately..the sleepy snuggles, the little noises, the endless cuddles and even those sleepless nights spent awake with the moon while doing night feeds. 🌙

I honestly miss it all. There’s something about those hazy, exhausting, beautiful newborn days that you don’t realise you’ll ache for until they’re gone.

I wish I had captured more of those little moments. More of the tiny details, the sleepy cuddles, the midnight feeds… because somehow, time just keeps flying.

But this time feels even more special somehow. I get to experience the newborn phase again, but this time with my first baby beside me watching her become a big sister, meeting her little sibling and experiencing all those firsts together 🥹.

So this time, I’m soaking up every single second.

Here’s to newborn snuggles, sleepless nights and making a million memories I’ll never want to forget. ✨

Wondering what all this “taking leave” talk is about? 👀

Well… I’m pregnant!
And my little girl is going to have a little sister to play princesses with! 🩷

Although she wasn’t exactly thrilled to start with (check out slide 6 😂) — she was SO adamant she was having a brother. Now she tells everyone she’s having a “boy sister”… whatever floats your boat, girlfriend! 🤭

I honestly can’t believe I’m going to be a girl mum of TWO 🥹

I’m so excited for the sweetest little girl tribe and this next chapter of our lives.

My heart is so full, and I cannot wait to watch Stevie become the best big sister. 🤎

17 more weeks to go… and then our little girl will be here! 👶🏼✨

I’ll be taking a short break from late October / early November, which means my books will be closing for a little while.

During this time, I’ll only be offering the occasional family session when I’m able, and newborn sessions will be unavailable until I return.

If you’ve been hoping to book a newborn, maternity or family session before then, I’d love to capture those memories for you before my books close.

Those first few weeks are filled with the smallest details you never want to forget the little fingers wrapped around yours, the sleepy cuddles, the tiny stretches and the way they fit so perfectly in your arms.

The newborn stage is precious, fleeting, and gone far sooner than we’re ever ready for.

Everyone waits for the “right time.”

But if you saw my last post, you’ll know I only have until mid October to photograph families, and once those spots are gone, they’re gone.

Life will always be busy. The kids will keep growing. There will always be another reason to put it off.

I’ll be taking some time off from mid October until late December/early January.

During this time, I’ll have very limited availability for the occasional family session, and newborn sessions will not be available at all.

If you’ve been thinking about booking, this is your sign to do it now. My calendar is already filling quickly, and once my remaining spots are gone, I won’t be opening any extra sessions. Availability before I leave and when I return will be extremely limited, so I’d hate for you to miss out.
