Belinda and I met a young French couple in car park after our dive. They were studying my seadragon photos on marine parks interpretive signs when Bel walked up and said “hey I know the photographer! It’s this guy here!” 😂 We asked if they’d seen a leafy seadragon before and they replied that they’d snorkelled Rapid Bay jetty most of day in search of one but had not been successful. We offered to show them one and within 10 minutes we took this image of them both admiring their first leafy! 🐉 ❤️

Finally got to a Seiko shop to have my new PADI Sea Hero watch band adjusted. Thank you PADI and Seiko for this gift in recognition of my small contribution to ocean conservation. I will wear with pride. ⌚️ 🦸 🤿 💙

South Australia is so lucky to have the only giant cuttlefish breeding aggregation in the world. This year between May - August 137,000 cuttlefish came into the shallows along a 8 km stretch of rocky coastline in the Upper Spencer Gulf Marine Park to find a mate and procreate. The cuttlefish lifespan is only 12-18 months so after mating and laying eggs the majority die. Those that don’t mate and lay eggs in the first year come back the following year as the extra large giants!
