Since opening their doors to the public in 2022, the gallery has become a cherished destination for art lovers and collectors. Jeff Walsh, an award-winning landscape photographer and president of the Hawkesbury Camera Club, brings his breathtaking fine art photographs to life by expertly printing and framing, capturing the natural beauty of the world. Weโ€™ve been genuinely blown away by the response to our ๐‹๐จ๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐Œ๐š๐ค๐ž๐ซ ๐„๐Ž๐ˆ and by the incredible creativity, craftsmanship and variety represented in the submissions.

Itโ€™s exciting โ€” and a little daunting! โ€” to have so much local talent to consider as we curate the maker collection for the new Scapes of Art gallery.

Weโ€™re now working our way carefully through every submission, looking at how each range fits within the gallery, complements our artists and other makers, and contributes to the experience we want to create for our visitors.

At the moment there are bare walls, fluorescent lights and a lot of empty floor space. What we see, though, is room for more artists, more original artwork, more local makers, more beautiful objects โ€” and a much bigger gallery experience for locals and visitors to The Entrance.

Over the coming weeks weโ€™ll be turning this empty space into a welcoming, artist-led gallery filled with colour, creativity, stories and things worth discovering.

From the back roller door looking all the way through to the front windows, our new gallery space may look pretty ordinary at the moment โ€” bare floors, empty walls and plenty still to do.

But this is where the next chapter of ๐’๐œ๐š๐ฉ๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐€๐ซ๐ญ is going to take shape.

Soon, this long empty space will be filled with original art, photography, local makers, beautiful objects, stories, colour and all the little details that will make the new gallery feel like us.

Thereโ€™s a lot of work between here and opening dayโ€ฆ but we can already see it.
