Wollongong Lighthouse
6 out of 7 days I wake up before dawn to walk by the ocean and watch the sunrise. On this particular morning, I happened to be in Wollongong, and was very excited to watch the sunrise by the Lighthouse.
I took many beautiful photos that morning, but this one easily made it to the top 5 favourites.
I took this photo with my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. Edited lightly in Lightroom only to make the image pop better. The ship in the background, obviously a paid model. ;)
The way the light was hitting the giant pillar of white stone created a stunning contrast against the shadow & the ocean, and that famous, complementary blue & orange combo.
