Frame of Mind #001

“Patience and Wondering”

These past few months have been testing times for us all, myself included and there is no doubt making time to ensure you’re on the right track, in the right place and in the best “Frame of Mind” possible is a must.
I took a step back and wanted to create something simple to connect well-being and ocean photography, as not to be another cliche, but to be able to spark a simple moment of self reflection or emotion.
Connecting a caption to a moody colour or composition to perspective, every frame has a meaning.

I will be spreading these out and displaying them as they come naturally, some will be new images, some will be old that have new meanings, some will be deeper and some will be lighter. These are all Frames of Mind.

Maiden post for Facebook, submerged in my favourite spot to shoot In the ocean.
This shot was from the first session I had back in the water with a camera in a long time. Relearning all the qwerks of “getting the shot” in the smaller stuff before this seasons winter swells showed up to the East Coast.

Welcome to Sea Shutter Imagery.

I created this page to document the evolution in my journey as an aspiring ocean photographer.

Based on the NSW South Coast we are blessed with an abundance of waves, some world class, some well hidden and some just insane to witness.
I strive to capture all facets of our ocean and I aim to showcase its raw power and elegance, as well as the talented locals around me who live and breathe the sport of surfing.
