What a MASSIVE weekend it was as the Essendon District Football League hosted many teams as part of the AFL Victoria interleague footy carnival! Teams representing the EDFL in u13's, u/14's and u/15's played amazing footy and I was just astounded by the sheer talent our league has on offer, and what an amazing future Aussie rules has in stall, especially when it comes to the young women coming through the ranks.

I got behind the camera at three venues across the weekend:
Hadfield Football Club
Greenvale Football Club
Maribyrnong Park Football Club

I created 3 galleries covering the weekend's action where I've edited close to 4,500 images and all images are available for purchase for only $15ea. The gallery links can be found in the comments section.

I also have some images of players from other leagues including the Western Football Netball League Southern Football Netball League Frankston District Junior Football League and Riddell District Football Netball League

If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message, and please share this post and my galleries on Facebook to anyone you know who was involved over the weekend of footy

Cheers and thanks for allowing me to capture some of the best footy I've seen this year!!

Hi everyone out there in Essendon District Football League Interleague world!

I have created a massive gallery from the three games I covered yesterday at Greenvale Football Club covering the EDFL U13s Girls, Boys Div 2 U/13s, Boys Div 1 U/13s, and some Western Football Netball League v Riddell District Football Netball League Boys Div 1.

Underneath the title photo, there is a menu which you can select which gallery you would like to be displayed.

Now I have tried my very hardest to capture as many players as I could from each game - but sometimes I just can't get every person who competed across the three games. If I've unfortunately not managed to capture you or your child, please don't send me abusive messages.

Sometimes players don't come near where I am shooting, sometimes players are obscured or I miss focus and sometimes I just have no luck. Abuse will not be tolerated. I have also included a lot of photos I would not normally include due to image quality etc, just to try and cater to everyone competing across the day.

Well done to every player who represented the EDFL so well, as I was so impressed with the performances of every team who played across all three days over this long weekend!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me - images are all available to purchase for only $15ea and the link to the gallery will be found below.

Please feel free to share this post to everyone involved in interleague games.

Cheers

Shaun

Hi everyone out there in Essendon District Football League Interleague world!

I have created a massive gallery from the three games I covered yesterday at Martin Reserve (Hadfield Football Club) covering the EDFL Girls Div 1 U/15s, Boys Div 2 U/14s and Boys Div 1 U/14s.

Underneath the title photo, there is a menu which you can select which gallery you would like to be displayed.

Well done to every player who represented the EDFL so well, as I was so impressed with the performances of every team who played both yesterday and today, and I can't wait for another day of footy tomorrow at Maribyrnong Park Football Club.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me - images are all available to purchase for only $15ea and the link to the gallery will be found below.

Please feel free to share this post to everyone involved in interleague games.

Round 8 of the Essendon District Football League saw me head out to photograph another three entertaining games yesterday.

First up were the women of Taylors Lakes Football Club playing host to Burnside Heights Football Club who were coming off a massive win the previous week, and their form continued with a dominant win against the Lions. As much as Taylor's Lakes tried, unfortunate injuries to key players crippled them as Burnside went on to win by 68 points.

Burnside Heights (10.9.69) d Taylor's Lakes (0.1.1)

The second game saw another Burnside Heights Football Club team in action as their men hosted Northern Saints Football Club with both teams needing a win to work their way up the ladder. The Bears got the jump with a couple of early goals and went into the quarter time break with a four-goal lead.

As much as the Saints tried to claw back the lead, Burnside were able to hold them off and get their second win in a row, winning by 26 points.

Burnside Heights (17.11.113) d Northern Saints (13.9.87)

Last up were two men's premier division teams both requiring a win as Deer Park FC hosted Airport West Football Club

When I arrived at half time, Deer Park was leading by 5 goals, and for Airport West it was only going to get worse as Spiros went to town with a dominant display while both Jackson Barling and Nicholas Ebinger kicked 5 goals guiding the lions to a 69-point win.

Deer Park (23.12.150) d Airport West (12.9.81)

I've created a gallery where images are available for $15 each. If any clubs would like to purchase an entire gallery, please feel free to contact me for further details.

Link to the gallery can be found in the comments section.

This afternoon I headed to to shoot the game between and in game two of the double header.

Game one against the Thunder didn't go the way Melbourne Ice had hoped, and they entered game two with a renewed vigour, and after the first period it was looking good with scores locked at 1-1.

Unfortunately from there on in, the Thunder took control of the game with speed and accurate passing, leading to a 4-0 second period and the Ice on the verge of cracking under the relentless pressure.

The third period didn't bear too well for the Ice, but a couple of late goals added a bit of respectability to the final 10-3 scoreline.

Melbourne Ice next face the Mustangs in a must win home town derby on Friday night!

Hi everyone out there in the land of Junior Essendon District Football League.

Last night I had the opportunity to capture the special moments linked to the U13's Interleague jumper presentations held at the home of Essendon Football Club.

I've created a gallery where players and their parents can download images for free. The link can be found in the comments section and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Another weekend and another gallery showcasing the best the Essendon District Football League has to offer as I covered four massive games including some women's U/19s. The football on show was amazing to watch with the women especially demonstrating how good the local footy can be!

First up I was back at Keilor Park Football Club as their women took on Gisborne Football Netball Club and I was expecting this to be a close game, but how wrong I was. The Devils came out from the first bounce showcasing their skills both in the air and on the ground. They dominated the Dogs across the park, restricting any movement forward, while seemingly having free reign through the midfield with precise disposal and accuracy in front of goal - going on to win by 42 points.

Keilor Park (9.7.61) d Gisborne (2.7.19)

Second up I just happened to catch some of the Maribyrnong Park Football Club v Gisborne Football Netball Club women's u19 game and unlike the seniors, the girls of Gisborne dominated their game, smashing Marby Park by 110 points.

Gisborne (16.14.110) d Maribyrnong Park (0.0.0)

It was not a good day for Marby Park across both the men's and women's yesterday. The women of Marby Park hosted Aberfeldie Sports Club and home ground advantage didn't help at all. Abers pressure and disposal efficiency was just too good to enable the Lions any chance of getting into the game while Emily Smith of Abers kicked a handy five goals helping her team to go on to win by 58 points.

Aberfeldie (11.9.75) d Maribyrnong Park (2.5.17)

Last but not least was Maribyrnong Park Football Club hosting Pascoe Vale Football Club, and when I started shooting the game, it was looking good for the Lions going into quarter time with an 11 point lead. From there on in, there weren't many places the Marby players could hide from their coach Dutchy describing their performance as putrid at three quarter time as they went on to lose by 56 points.

Pascoe Vales pressure across the ground led to Marby turning over the ball continuously with horrible skill errors resulting in numerous Paco goals off turnovers in the midfield and defensive half, while Goldstein and Matty Dennis dominated the ruck and Ahern kicked 4 goals.

Pascoe Vale (17.18.120) d Marby Park (9.10.64)

I've created a massive gallery where a link can be found in the comments section. Images are available for $15ea, and if any club would be interested in purchasing an entire gallery of their game, please contact me for further details.
