Through my photography I aim to share the experience, thoughts, emotions and sensations I encounter as I journey into the wonders of our extraordinary environment. The quest of searching for the perfect images that capture and communicate the essence of our Australian landscape is very much a passion for Stephen Reid. As an opportunistic photographer, the vast bulk of Stephen's images are taken wh

ile having a break from his primary occupation. These forays into beautiful country energize Stephen's spirit and fill him with an appreciation of the grandeur of the Australian landscape. Stephen trusts his photography provides you with the same joy and uplifting inspiration it provides him when he captures the image. The Heart of Australia is a collection of images celebrating Central Australia - 'the big red heart.' Our journey to Central Australia was prompted by a great mate Phil Higgins. Phil noted to me that he journeyed to Uluru with each of his kids as they transitioned from primary school to secondary school. A kind of father and child rite of passage. He noted that significance of the journey for both himself and each of his kids. Sadly, Phil lost his fight with melanoma but his inspiration and mateship never fades. Here's to you mate!

The soundtrack 'Chasing the Light' by Stephen Reid echoes the call of a photographer seeking those 'golden hour' shots around dawn and dusk.

Something about waterfalls that provides a special grounding - a sense of calm and compassion. This clip provides a selection of waterfalls across parts of Australia.

Images are by Stephen Reid.

The original soundtrack, 'Sunshine,' written by Stephen Reid provides a warm Australian country anthem celebrating golden mornings, open skies, and the healing comfort of sunshine on wandering souls daily.

How many waterfalls in this clip can you name?
I hope the clip brings you peace and serenity.
